Heya,
this is not some huge idea that changes everything for PvP in ESO. But the idea itself should be relatively easy to implement and could be a first step to make PvP a bit more popular. I honestly don't see most people care for it which is a bit disappointing imo. It can be frustrating when you start but it definitely is worth it.
Why is no one caring for pvp?
Beside the technical and balancing issues that are making it hard for first timers to een get started it's definitely that pvp is the stepchild of eso. If you don't actively want to pvp there is no real visible benefit to be in a pvp guild. I know you can be Emperor/Empress on a personal level and it still is a fancy title no matter how much glamour it has lost over the years. But how could a guild benefit of your personal skill as a pvp enthusiast?
The idea:
Let's say you could somehow fight for the control of a specific zone with only two minor changes to the game. The flags in this zone change to the ones of your guild and everyone who visits the zone get's a notifcation that this zone has been conquered/liberated by your guild for the current week. Every time your member earns AP you get Guild AP used for acquiring a pve zone like in the guild trader system. I know it doesn't sound very useful at the first glance but imagine your banner waves over one of the other two factions capital? Imagine a DC banner waves over Mournhold^^ pure nightmare!
That should pull pvp out of the "realm of the forgotten" to the bright light of the day.
This opens the opportunity for 24/7 advertising of your guild and your faction.
It's only something minor. But it could be a first step to make ESO PvP more visible for the majority of players. And if more people do pvp the more likely ZOS will invest more effort in this part of gameplay.
Add: I did not use the search funtion to check if something like that was posted already. If so...I'm deeply sorry.
