New Life is my FAVORITE ESO event, and this year I'm particularly excited! In honor of my favorite in-game holiday, I prepared an advent calendar anyone can use as prompts for artwork, screenshots, outfits, housing builds, and more!!



If you want to share your creations here, I'd love to see them! I know the event hasn't started yet, but I'm HYPED anyways!

It's Day 2! The prompt for today is "Old Life Remembrance". Because the event hasn't started *YET* ... I decided to recreate the shrines for the Old Life Remembrance ceremony.

This quest is pretty emotionally gripping, and in a certain mindset can be really stirring.




To make your own:
1x Imperial Archway, Cemetary (lux vendor, 15k originally)
1x Breton Tablecloth, Striped (craftable, clothier)
1x High Elf Streetlight, Stone (craftable, enchanting)
1x Common Platter, Serving (craftable, blacksmithing)
1x Candle, Group (craftable, provisioning)
1x Common Candle, set (craftable, provisioning)
1x Common Candles, pair (craftable, provisioning))
1x Papers, Stack (STOLEN, desks,etc, very cheap to buy from a guild trader)
1x New Life Garland Wreath (crown store only, 65 crowns, giftable)

Finish the scene with ghostly or spectral pets, mounts, or houseguests.

Ok for Day 3 I tried poetry just to switch it up. Apparently, anyone who works for ZoS is allowed to try to write lore, and I think that's so cool. Anyways, here is my try at Zoreh the Tenacious' story in Bergama... the story we remember when we run the Signal Fire Sprint!

The smell of sweat and sweet sickness fell thick,
the dark perfumed in a subtle madness.
Zoreh and her sworn blades lost in the haze,
Emeesh and his army watched from the dunes,
Would guards watch for cutthroats, set fires ablaze?

As those cutthroats drew near, Zoreh took foot,
Tava beneath her wings as she flew fast.
In turn, each light painted the night with flame.
In fear he fled their sands, as Zoreh fell,
We run her race, and we honor her name.


Fun fact: Did you know that you can complete the signal fire sprint with friends? If you aren't fast enough to do it by yourself (speed potions, the steed mundus, speed gear, wild hunt ring all help)- grab a few buddies or even a random new friend from zone chat and you can complete the Signal Fire Sprint this New Life!

It's day 3 and the prompt is RED! Today I gathered up all of my favorite red lights into one spot and labeled them! There are a few more crown-only red lights I lack, but this represents a really good chunk of the truly red items in the game! Most of them are antiquities or achievement furnishings, so they're not too difficult to attain.

For day 5, the prompt is "Evergreen Tree," and I decided it might be helpful to know all the indoors-friendly evergreen trees available for purchase in ESO! Check out the pic for size comparisons, locations, and pricing!

It's day 6! The prompt today is SWEETROLLS!


There are sweetrolls all over Tamriel... from piles in Western Skyrim to stalls overflowing in Belkarth! They are a craftable food, a single-roll furnishing, a SHINY crown-crate exclusive, a fancy part of any Mara's Day party, and you can even earn a pile of them by catching the Sweetroll Killer of Kvatch!

We're one week in! It's day 7 and the word today is GOLD! So I'm going to share some of my favorite gold making tips!

1. Pick flowers/nodes on Betnikh. Why Betnikh? After you complete some of the quests in the northern part of the island, the mobs are no longer hostile in the main places you'll want to be farming. The nodes also respawn a LOT faster in starter areas, so you'll find you get to pick the same nodes more frequently! LASTLY, you can get aetherial dust on Betnikh (you CAN'T in Craglorn!) Oh... and it's often less packed than Craglorn.
2. Steal rare and valuable goodies using this handy guide by Ilessa on Twitter. If you get a purple blueprint or motif while stealing, SWITCH CHARACTERS! You'll be in cooldown for about 20 hours. If you get a blue quality blueprint, you'll need to wait about 30 min to get another.
3. Repair walls in cyrodiil for AP... run off to Bruma (when your alliance owns it, or take it if you're brave!) and buy Deadly pieces. Several of them sell VERY well. You can also sell Powerful Assault pieces; they require Tel Var from IC sewers/city
4. KILL DRAGONS AFTER COMPLETING "all the good parts" in S. Elsweyr. This will require you to do most, if not all, of the Dragonguard/s. elsweyr storyline.. but I PROMISE YOU it is worth it. The writing is great, so the questing is nice... but the LOOT the dragons will now give up to you is INSANELY valuable!! DRAGON RHEUM is 100% a hot item at a trade guild.
5. Fish and sell them raw. I would recommend going to Apocrypha, Arteaum, Summerset, Nikolvara's Kennel (in Wrothgar, a delve) or the lake outside of Markarth for the best bet at additional fishing loot/coffers or fastest respawn time.
6. Farm the current Monster Style Page. If you open the crown store > Wardrobe > Outfit Styles and see a boss' named Arms pack for sale, you can kill that boss in it's veteran dungeon for a chance to earn the corresponding mask style page. These often sell for a LOT of money depending on the difficulty of the dungeon. If you have the HM clear of the final boss in that dungeon, you have a marginally higher chance of getting the mask page!


You need to find a trade guild to really make the most of your farming efforts. Not sure how? The guild finder isn't a bad option, but my best tip? ASK AROUND! People in zone will know good starter trade guilds with no or low requirements.

For Day 8, "Lava Foot Stomp," we couldn't exactly head to Stonefalls yet and dance with the revelers, so we danced in front of our guild's trader!

Did you know that there is a non-racial, built-in base game dance that is really, really fun? Try typing /jig and watch your character jig jauntily!

For Day 9, with a prompt word of "Snow," I ran around Tamriel looking for all of my favorite spots for taking wintery pictures! If you want to create your OWN snowy shot for a festive outfit, try these locations:

• Western Skyrim: North of Labyrinthian is nice for the bleakness, snowy firs, and potential for RED in your shot from a nearby Harrowstorm. I also really enjoy the shores near The Silver Cormorant in northeast W. Skyrim- there is a lot of ice and frozen ocean! The entire northwestern shoreline of w. skyrim is also snowy and has tons of potential for beautiful shots!
  
• Cyrodiil: Much of northern Cyrodiil is snow-covered! I particularly like all the little shrines, like this one, dotting the EP and DC areas. This one can be found just south of Dragonclaw Mine, on an island in the lake.
  
• Eastmarch:The Nords love the snow and Eastmarch is COVERED from north to south borders in it! Hugging the Western border will find you the most snow, and I particularly like the area just east of the Giant's Run Dolmen. At night, it's light either by the Dolmen itself or, if you're lucky, TONS of torchbugs, floating above the water. New Life can't come soon enough to Eastmarch, the tent feels so empty!!
  
• Bleakrock Isle: ENTIRELY covered in snow, this isle is *the* place to find a spot for your wintery shot! If you go at night, you can spot the Aurora Tamrielus! I found a nice rocky spot above the cove near Deathclaw's Lair, but there are tons of great options at ANY time of day!
  
• The Rift: While not as snow covered, this zone does have a few snowy delves, striking locales, and snowpeaked mountains to the west. Check out Forelhost for a frosty challenge shot!
  
• Wrothgar: Over half of Wrothgar is covered in snow! I really love the horker-covered ice flows on the coast, but even the city of Orsinium is festive, peppered in snow and perpetual winter.
  
• Grayhome: Accessible via a wagon in Rivenspire outside castle Ravenwatch, this frost island has TONS of vampiric backdrops, snowy animals, ice flows, and perpetual snow! This is a GREAT spot for a truly unique New Life screenshot!

It's day 10! Today the word is "Snow Bear Plunge", and while New Life hasn't started yet, you can embrace your inner snow bear with 3 earnable costumes if you own the Wrothgar DLC! It is no easy feat- but if you complete the Hero of Wrothgar achievement AND fill the Orsimer House of Glories with all the missing relics, you'll unlock 3 different bear costumes!

For day 11, the Castle Charm Challenge, I built my own castle! I cobbled together some music boxes into one MEGA castle... and I'm sure every little kid in Tamriel (are there any?!) will want one this New Life!

SOOOOOOOOOO I gathered all of those things (Jesh was happy to join the kitten pile, don't let him tell you otherwise!) and built this cozy scene for you
