My French eyes are burned by the Flames of Oblivion each time I see that typo...

This is the last time I'm asking to fix this, I'm a French guy playing the game in English and that typo is quite irritating, I know the character œ doesn't exist in English language, but at least use the two decombined letters in the right order: oe.

English version of the game: (wrong spelling)
Deshaan Honeydew Hors D'Ouevre

French version of the game: (correct spelling)
HORS D'ŒUVRE AU MELON DE DESHAAN

What the English version of the game should read:
Deshaan Honeydew Hors D'Oeuvre

You think THAT'S bad.... in Telvanni Pennisula I recently encountered something that apparently reared its ugly head in the original Elder Scrolls games...Malachite glass.... W T ACTUAL F!!! As a geologist, this wounds me to the core. Sears my soul. Tears my world apart. Malachite is absolutely NOT a glass. Cannot be made into a glass. And doesn't even contain any of the main component of glass (silica). In fact, other than both containing oxygen atoms, they have nothing in common. Whoever decided to take a secondary copper mineral and make it was a glass should be forced to sit thru Rocks and Minerals 101.... repeatedly.

Malachite is a color, like Ebony, which I'm surprised you didn't mention. I take more exception to mining ores of alloys.

It is actually said in TES3:Morrowind that it is called "glass" because of it looks like common glass, but Malachite is stated as a metal, as it should.

It doesn't look like glass, unless the glass is opaque and green. And I guess ZOS didn't get the message that it's not a glass cause they are still calling it a glass :/

Nirn is a magical world, anything is possible ;) But concerning the OP's point of view I agree. Wrong spelling is no go.

And we're not even talking about the French translation of the game which is full of mistakes (mainly typos, words in the wrong order too)

From the moment you decide to make a French version of the game, please do it properly?

ok you fired all the french staff (the gm and modos), but please the french community is still there

    Thank you.

I've seen lots of opaque green glass bottles in my time. It was quite common to have 'ten green bottles hanging on the wall' when I was growing up. They were for pop and beer.

Things are often misspelt in life, and it's how language evolves. It doesn't bother me. Watch The Last Kingdom to see how town names have evolved. Whenever they go to a story in a different town it shows the old spelling then the modern spelling.
