EA Boss teleported me onto the balustrade - is it supposed to be like that?

I forgot the name of the boss (but it wasn't Rilis, who also lifts you up), but suddenly I found myself on the balustrade above the platform. Is that how it's supposed to be or is it a bug? I thought it was kind of funny.

✭✭Was this Lord Warden by any chance? I've had some pretty weird results from his teleport circles (which send you up above the arena). One time I fell back directly on top of Lord Warden and got stuck there in mid air.2 -
