How I would organize the forum categories.
Key: if there's a "/" in name of sub category it indicates more than one sub category is merged. Main categories names are bolded.
There's main categories and there's sub categories. Lots of sub categories will be merged, renamed, with new descriptions will also include examples of what belongs there.
News and updates: includes; official news, announcements, patch notes, rules/policies/basic moderation info, and official livestreams.
Remove main category General. Replace it with..
In-game activities: includes; solo/group pve, solo/group pvp, classes/combat/character, quest/lore/exploration, ranked activites/tales of tribute, PTR testing, other in-game features.
Trader's Forum: includes; crown store/eso plus/seals of endeavors , crafting, housing.
community: includes; events/contest, community creations/fan art, looking for group, addons and mods.
customer service: remain as it is currently. Add in bug reports.
guilds : remain as it it currently.
