Why does xbox eso have cool downs on skills and ps5 doesn't have cooldowns?

Yes there is a cool down on skills on xbox. Sometimes 8 or 9 secs. If playstation and xbox did a console war for pvp in elder scrolls I think xbox might win. Xbox has looking for group so people can team up and meet new players. I was checking playstation online lfg and dc universe and players was off for months and days. I checked dc universe and lfg online for xbox and it had them on minutes ago or still online. Or several hours ago. Xbox has its own looking for group also. I bet xbox wins in a pvp console war due to I see crafters on xbox that can craft good styles and playstation users can craft good styles.

wow 8 or 9 seconds is a big cooldown on skills, sounds like either lag or a bug.

how does the other stuff relate to the post?

As far as I know (I play on PC) the console versions are identical to each other and have only minor differences to the PC version - mainly things like the PC version having more graphics options to allow for the more variable hardware.

I don't think they'd do something like add skill cooldowns to just 1 platform and I've never heard anyone else mention it so I agree it sounds like lag.

One way to check: Is it always the same cooldown time on the same skills or is it variable? if it changes then it's almost certainly lag.

The cooldown is consistent the same time.

I noticed something similar this week. Only after I changed the settings to show a timer. It never showed a cool down in the past. Does that mean there was a cool down but I just didn't know?

If you turned on something called "Ability Timers" that just shows you when the effects of your ability end, it's not a cooldown.

If I remember correctly I can use the skill for that long.

Yes, I realised after I posted this, as soon as I logged on afterwards. I've never had the timers on. Very useful.

This and its important, if you put down and AoE damage or heal it will not work if enemy or group move out of it.
You can always reapply the effect but it cost resources. If fake tank is kiting boss around timed AoE is probably not cost effective, but else its very nice to know.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's asking the community for assistance.

    Thank you for your understanding
