Thread of life randomly removed during an EA stage

My duo and I were at 2-5-2 in the Endless Archive with 3 threads (lives), when part way through a stage the game removed a thread from me. Neither of us died. We had just fought 2 mob groups after exiting the unknown portal that transforms you into a goat. So the entire stage reset then and we had to start the 3 fights in that stage over again. They weren't hard either, it just randomly bugged out.

out of my dozen or so runs i only had this happen once, not entirely sure what can cause it though

i know there is at least 1 of the arena stages that has a boundary issue, if you go to far to the left it ports you back to the entrance randomly, its very annoying

Ah I had this happen a couple of days ago. Was on the Boss that drop`s the Archive set piece, it one shot me then I went to the area to get changed to a goat and was ported out in like a second of being in there. I was back to the beginning and went into the port at that spot then had to deal with another boss that was not dropping the set piece.

I've had this happen twice when I went to loot some urns as a new trash mob was spawning - the mob spawned fairly far away both times and by the time I ran over to engage, the mob vanished and the stage reset and I lost a thread. I'm wondering if maybe this happens after a set amount of time if a trash mob is unable to attack a target.

i think its possible

when i was running with my gf in the archive she needed to afk at the end of a stage but didnt get a chance to grab her verse choice, after enough time passed, the verse thing went away and it just opened the portal to the next stage anyway

so there are timeouts for various things, might make sense on the mobs too

though i dont know if i lost a thread from being too far away from a mob, but i can see how that can happen on some of the arenas that are larger

This has happened to me a few times as well and it seems to happen randomly after a marauder is killed or de-spawns.

Edit: Its only happened in duo runs so far; never had it happen for solo runs yet.
