So we get a big "upgrade" to jewelry but the new sealed purple jewelry writs are worth ONLY 23 to 29 or so writ vouchers?

The reset was to bring the entire jewelry setup into line with the other crafts.

They require 85% less materials 30 - zircon "units" down to 4.

The voucher values were not reduced 85%. (they are 1/4th their old value, not 2/15th of their older value).

Edit for clarity: ZoS also adjusted the weighting of the traits in calculating the voucher values... purple triune ones are only 1/3rd of the vouchers they were worth prior. Some base-game trait ones are 1/6th to 1/7th their original values. Others are in the 1/5th range.

Either way, the reduction in materials cost was greater than the reduction in voucher values. So they are a better deal now.

As said, jewelry upgrade mat usage is now aligned with all other crafts. Since other durable purple master writs are worth around 7 vouchers for non-nirn, these jewelry writs will offer a good mat-to-voucher value when the jewelry mat market finally levels out.

New ones give vouchers as appropriate for the changes. In anticipation I myself saved few K vouchers worth of old writs but did not bother to hoard em.

Sorry but these are nothing but the rewards for what use to be the Blue Writs and they are far from "in line" with other writs, what other writs give us less than 30 for purples? none.

I had one yesterday for 90 vouchers. Okay by me.

As for the normal non-jewelry ones purple ones, they're between 7 and 9 vouchers generally. The "larger" ones are nirnhoned, which no one in her right mid would bother with.

They were worth over 600 tickets each before the update. Only one was enough to buy a complete furniture plan folio.

Yeah, but they don't actually cost as much to do now after the reset.

Huh? Every other purple writ gives us much less than 30. Woodworking, clothing, and blacksmith purple all give like 6 to 8 vouchers. Purple alchemy give 2 or 5. Purple enchanting give 2. Purple jewelry giving 28 vouchers is fantastic when you consider how easy it is to get 4 zircon platings now. Purple jewelry writs are giving so many more vouchers than other purple writs that I fully expect them to get nerfed in the not too distant future.

Yes, they cost less now. But even before the update, they dropped so rarely that I never had a problem to have golden mats available to complete them, so I saw it as a stroke of luck if I got one - so many vouchers at once, normally taking much more time to collect! Blue mats were the problem.

I actually got them quite often (my RNG is - um - weird from various angles). And sure they were nice. But I'm just as happy for 90 vouchers that use less mats.

The really STUPID thing is that I still don't have "enough" Iridium Platings. I've never been able to keep a decent amount of them. And the fact that across 3 accounts, both pc megaservers, I have less than 50 TOTAL is just.... disheartening. I collected 3 jewelry surveys today on one account; I got TWO blue platings.....

    *SIGH*

Gold will drop like the old purple jewelry master writs (I've gotten 4 of them already since U40, whereas before I'd get 1 maybe every 3 weeks).

Purple will drop like the old blue jewelry master writs.

    They won't be as rare.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's related to crafting.

    Thank you for your understanding
