Frequent Disconnects and 999+ lag spikes

Ever since yesterday's patch maintenance I'm getting 999+ lag spikes and frequently getting disconnected when in combat or travelling to other zones. Before maintenance it used to around stable 300+ ping but now frequent disconnects.

extremely annoying.

    Perhaps someone should link some of the dev's a quick and easy server troubleshooting guide because some of the funny connection errors are as old as 2016.
    I used to assume that connection errors are homebrewed as they usually reoccurred to the same people - but the ESO dev team has fallen so far from grace that the base assumption now should be: "What did they screw up this time?"

    Perhaps you just have to wait till next week @r34lian - when they have their actual patch figured out. You should also ask for a ESO+ extension for a week as it may be unusable for you right now.

    Tried them all

    From refreshing IP, clearing DNS. restarting router, renaming program data folder, restarting etc none seem to work.

    Just want to add that I had the same experience. I could see that other gamers were able to play smoothly so I thought it might be my connection problem. I also tried the 'Troubleshooting' but it did not improve. Surprisingly, I tried playing the game later in the day and it was better.

    I've been getting frequent disconnects from PC EU today. My internet connection is fine otherwise. Running on steam.

    I'm having a similar issue - really severe lag spikes where everything freezes completely for 2-3 seconds and then catches up again, started suddenly after the last maintenance on Nov 3. Tried everything in the connection troubleshooting post with no effect.

    PC NA here. Getting disconnects trying to port and my ping to the server has been terrible. Nothing has changed on my end.

    PC EU, the same problem. Lag spikes and disconnects, followed by the usual mixture of "unexpected internal error" and "booted from server". Started happening a lot after the last patch too. For example, I missed almost the whole nKA run today because of your unreliable services: I got disconnected twice and then could not get back into the game for a few minutes each time.

    I guess you will just continue linking your irrelevant Connection Troubleshooting as before. But just please start listening to your players: if you see multiple threads mentioning the same issue with multiple people saying that they all started experiencing it after the patch, this must mean something after all. I am not going to waste my time contacting your support, because it is a general problem on your side as I can play other games and watch network streams without problems.

    Please, don't repeat the infamous 2019. Please, listen to your players and be proactive so you won't have to apologize for your fails every month for another year.

    I've been having the same issue on PC-EU ever since November, 2nd. Higher latency and frequent lag spikes.

    Since today I also have disconnects, it's really annoying because I can't login again for couple minutes.

    EDIT: Logged after 5 minutes and of course I lost my whole progress in Endless Archive...

    Similar to other posts, the problem persisted but had been intermittent However today. it has reached a point that I could no longer bite the bullet - I could hardly have a playable moment. There is no problem with my PC and my Internet, so I find it quite pointless to raise a ticket that doesn't provide much help. The good thing is the Witches Festival just ended, so I could take a break. I think the ESO team is aware of the problem with the recent unscheduled maintenance. So this is a feedback - the problem hasn't resolved yet. Thank you.
