Hi!
So here are questions/remarks I have to formulate about the new Group Finder tool:

Dungeon activity:
- When you select the dungeon activity you can select needed roles but once the group is full and you try to start the dungeon finder then there can be a role mismatch, if we select the dungeon activity then the role choice should be locked on what a dungeon activity needs to avoid this problem.
- Once your dungeon group is full, the group doesn"t automatically queue in dungeon finder which would be logical and a needed QOL improvement.
- Players can apply to a dungeon group finder list while not owning the corresponding DLC which leads to problems when starting the dungeon finder.
- Flexibility: In the current state of the group finder, there is no way to queue for the dungeon finder if the group is not full yet (a case could be: Group of 3 -> queue for group finder and let it find the 4th one)

I can edit this first post to add other users' requests/remarks/question about the Group finder. :)

    Yep, most players are apparently afraid to lead and won't start a group finder list so we will need addons to display ongoing group finder lists to players while they play so they can apply.

    I disagree on locking roles. Being able to choose roles is a big part of the functionality. Some people may want 3DPS for a dungeon and if you need a DPS set as a healer then the DPS looking at the listings won’t see the listing because it automatically defaults to only showing runs for your role. Someone will just have to switch to healer role once everyone’s in the group, same way we’ve been doing 3DPS runs.

    You're right in a sense, but I'm just pointing at this non logical thing.
    That being said, stopping that masquerade by allowing any role combination in the dungeon finder would probably also solve the 20ish mn queue in dungeon finder when you are a DD.

    Most people in the dungeon finder need the traditional 1T/2D/1H setup. Allowing any role combination would go badly. 0 tanks, 3 DPS but 2 of them are dying constantly, 2 healers…
    3DPS works when you are with endgamers, the DPS in the queue just do not have the damage or awareness to survive and they expect a healer to be healing them. The tanks in the queue might need orbs still.
    As an example, I have been subjected to vet falkreath hold with DPS queued as healers, insistent its the best thing to do. It was not. With a run of people I know, we did okay. On a run with PuGs… I had to heal… as a tank… because people were dying constantly.

    I created my own group finder feedback thread yesterday, just linking it here as this thread is more active:

    I would be fine with having the option to auto-queue for the dungeon once the group is full, but not with it doing this by default. I would prefer to be sure everyone is completely ready before starting.

    As for locking roles, that is a hard no from me (unless this is also optional, and communicated that roles will lock to anyone joining the group). @Soarora posted some good reasons why.
    I would also like to add that if you are queuing through the original dungeon finder once grouped, it will not let you do so unless you are set to 2DD+1H+1T. So if you are fine with a non-traditional role setup, someone might have to set to a fake role to get it to work.

    Once again, only if it's optional. I am fine with the option existing, but I prefer to actually speak to my group rather than relying on an automated system with annoying popups.

    I would suggest to add some logs of who joined in what role ... it's so annoying that people changes roles after they enter party and then you end up with no tanks or healers in trials ...
