Video settings to reduce ping?

I've recently moved and had to go from comcast cable to Starlink. Over land stuff, just running around doing whatever is fine. my ping spends more time above 100 than it used to. maybe 20-30ms average higher than cable. I find that in vet trials, however, i get random nasty lag spikes--500-700ms. And a get Disconnected at least once per session (2hrs). This really isn't going to work so i was wondering if there were any settings i could lower to reduce the data in the stream? I don't know if the server sends less data if your video settings are lower or not. I guess if not, then nothing I do will help. But any advice is welcome. The system hasn't changed at all--just the internet connection--but in case anyone wants to know, its a Intel i7-8700K cpu, 16gb ram, 64 bit windoze 10, nividia geforce gtx 1070. the game is loaded on the nvme ssd. TIA

Lowering your video settings is unlikely to help with lowering the game latency. Our help article linked below offers different troubleshooting you can try for latency issues while playing ESO.

First is your graphics card running at it`s highest power setting? On my card I found that running it at max helps, since you have an Nvidia I can tell you that in the control panel for Nvidia is a setting for max power. go69cdlno9sp.png
What that does is set your PCI-E to it`s max power to get best performance from your graphics card.

Next, do you have Master Merchant addon? If you do then that is a big problem because it updates alot. I have it on one character and I have 11. When I first start playing it takes about 1.5 minutes to update and alot of lag happens. Even when I solo run a dungeon and it updates in that dungeon I will have a lag spike.

Starlink is effectively satellite and satellite internet tends to be a bit slower just due to the distance between the transmitter and the receiver. I hear Starlink is better than standard satellite service though, so who knows.
