Do Dark Anchors reward Alliance Points in Cyrodiil? How many, tipically?

Sorry, I can't log in myself to test for a while and I can't find this info anywhere. Can someone please give me an answer?
Can it be a funny alternative way to farm the 50 monthly transmutes?

dolmens in cyro give 0 alliance pts, unless you say happen to kill another player while doing one lol

the pure pve ways to earn alliance pts include (base values, not including any AP modifiers):
    • town dailies (even the non-capturable neutral towns) yield about 200 AP per quest
    • repairing keeps/outposts (yields about 50 AP per repair action)
    • scouting bounty board quests (been awhile so i dont know exactly how much AP these give, i would assume like 500-1000)

i think you need to earn at least 25,000 AP to hit reward tier 1 and be eligible for the 50 transmutes

each town has around 10 daily quests you can do, so that would be about 2000 pts per town per day (while dailies are per character, so are the pvp reward tiers which are tracked per character)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

Thank you very much @Necrotech_Master !
I'm a bit sad that dolmens don't reward AP, but you gave me good news remembering me about Scouting missions.
I have 10 characters in total but I am still leveling them. Soon they'll have their mounts maxed, so if Scouting will give around 1.000 APs a day, I could try to complete those every day with every char to farm Transmutes. Would be awesome XD

At least during Whitestreak's months should be doable. Seems an easy way to make tons of Transmutes.
    Thanks again :)

while the town dailies give less, its usually far easier to do multiple of them than a scouting one, i stopped doing scouting ones cause a vast majority of the time the scouting ones always would send me to a location on the opposite side of the map

the town daily ones are good for multiple things, even though they give less AP, you can do 10 of them pretty quickly, they also reward a box containing random gear from cyro, and cyrodiil citrus (used to craft the colovian war torte) so even if you dont use the war tortes, you can sell the citrus for a decent amount

if you do use a town that can be captured, those are super quick to port to, knock out a few quests, and then port back to get out of cyro without needing to blood port lol

repairing in my opinion is the least fun, and least profitable option lol

Yeah, but if you want to avoid PvP at all costs I guess Scouting ones are the most likely to not get you in a dangerous situation...

The Scouting ones usually give me 500 AP. I haven't seen less yet. I have seen a few give me 550 or 535. Thought it was a bit weird.

If the Scouting mission you get is on the other side of the map you can abandon it and pull another one. I have done this many times but seems like the game gets smart after two or three missions being abandoned and gives you the furthest ones from you after a few are abandoned.

One other thing you can do which is pretty cool is do the Scouting missions on a level 4 Vampire wearing speed gear. I won't list all the gear sets that raise your speed since there are quite a few. You can also adjust CP in the Green tree to boost speed and lower the sneak penalty (and cost?). Not sure atm. Not in game to look. I have a character I use for this and it just runs at full speed across the map Scouting. It's invisible the entire time and moves at about 180% of sprint speed (not mounted). And don't forget Swift jewelry trait. Use Ring of the Wild Hunt for this as well to get that huge boost in speed.

You can also do any of the town quests on that character invisible the entire time since you will be crouching but moving super fast.

    Just throwing that out there.

i would almost argue that scouting ones are more dangerous, in many cases making you travel halfway across the map is more likely you will be spotted, and the scouting always wants you to go to an enemy controlled location (if you dont attack anything nobody will know you were there, but getting there itself can be dangerous)

it feels like half the time as AD, the scout mission always wants me to go all the way up to fort dragonclaw, which is annoying for 2 reasons

    1) its on the opposite side of the map so unless the map is fully controlled by AD its going to be a longer ride
    2) even if AD does control the entire map, there is no way to quickly get there as AD is not allowed to use the transits to that keep from chalmen or aleswell (the only quick way is a keep recall stone)

if your just going for the raw AP amount then yeah it will probably work fine if you have a fast mount and dont travel near keeps

the actual "least pvp" method would be repairing, as you can do that from the safety of inside a keep, but your relying on the keep itself to have damaged walls at that point

town quests also do not involve pvp, if you go to one of the non-capturable towns (weynon priory, cheydinhal, chorrol for example) its unlikely you will run into players there

the capturable towns are pretty doable as well, especially in low pop campaigns, and they are more convenient if your faction controls them as you can quickly port to them and do the quests

500 is probably the base, the AP amounts can be influenced by many factors that increase AP gain (your faction owning more enemy keeps, 20% AP buff from a delve boss, AP buff from moras whispers, low pop bonus, pelinel AP buff, etc)

@JanTanhide thank you, I didn't know you could drop and change the Scouting quests, nice!

For context: I have 5 mule characters filled with equipments; that's why I was searching for the fastest easiest way to farm a ton of Transmutes, so that I could get rid of those equipments without worrying. I already have around 1.500 Transmutes, so I'm not in a hurry... I'll decide if to grind them during recurring Whitestreak's Events with all 10 characters, or if just to run Scouting with my main regularly - I play on low pop Campaigns and it's "rng" if I can even conquest anything at times so I don't want to have to deal with that casualties. On the other hand, riding a Mount doesn't bother me XD

if you already have 1500 transmute, i wouldnt worry too much unless you still have a lot of "holes" in your gear collection lol

completed sets have a net zero transmute cost to recreate in terms of transmutes (fully collected set is 25 transmute to recreate and you get 25 transmute on decon, so you never lose transmute long term)

i typically run into that, i have nearly 92% of all set gear collected and im always overflowing in transmutes because i almost never need them, since if i dont like a set i recreated, i just decon to get the transmute back

Fair point, but since I have only 1 character with which I'm satisfied of the builds and 7 characters that aren't CP yet, I think I'll need quite a bit of Transmutes to give everyone proper gear, if I want to avoid farming any piece.

Edit: and my sticker-book is far from complete unfortunately. I think I've only completed overland and 5 Dungeons

If you go with the repairing a keep approach remember that the AP you earn scales on the amount you heal, so if you wear healing done bonus gear you will get more AP per repair kit. (makes it faster and cost less).

Oh I also forgot to mention that in the orange CP tree there are a few selections to help with a stealthy speed build. One is Celerity which adds up to 10% to your speed.

Another thing I've done a few times is once I get the Scout mission in Cyrodil and see it's on the other side I check the other campaigns and see if it's more accessible. Then log out of that campaign and into the other and get it done. LOL

Is it still possible even if you already have a campaign set as home?

@SkaiFaith You can do the quest on the easy travel campaign then queue back to your home campaign to hand it in.
