Wretched Vitality Bugged with Claws of Anguish ability

Hello ZoS,

Wretched Vitality is supposed to proc on major and minor debuffs. Claws of Anguish applies both major and minor defile (from disease status) and yet the minor debuffs regeneration of 130 stamina and Magicka does not kick in.

The minor disease is a proc chance. When you tested it does it proc? Maybe the bug comes there as it is not attached to the skill itself.

Anguish morph is written to provide a guaranteed Disease Status effect from any instance of its damage, yet from my testing, Wretched does not appear to grant the respective minor debuffs recovery when minor defile debuffs is present.

I believe you are right, it is not registering it as from the ability itself perhaps

Procs are not supposed to proc other procs.

In most cases, anything described as "procs on major or minor debuffs" will only proc when you directly apply those debuffs, not when those debuffs are applied as the result of something else like a different set or status condition. They have been going through to fix those (like how they stopped flame enchants on weapons from proccing Encratis), but there may have been some they missed along the way.

status effects themselves are considered procs and cannot proc gear sets (unless the set explicitly states status effects as a proc condition)

Is it only Major now and not Minor guaranteed on Claws of Anguish? I think I’m looking at an outdated or incorrect skill description.

Yes, it used to detail both, but then the minor defile portion at some point became a status effect as the above posters mention so I think this is why the set doesn't recognize it.

Thanks for clarifying! And yes, that would explain it if the Minor were no longer part of the skill.
