Orsinium Structural Furnishings?

Prophet_of_Malacath
Have Orcs not suffered enough? Must we further beg unto death ears for a chance to restore our city to its greatness?

I know the zone suffered from being an early ESO entry - didn't come out with all the features more recent zones come with. But imagine my heartbreak that - with all the movement to establish a homeland and build a city, there's no apartment. Moreover, the zone added two new homes - but neither an actual part of Orsinium.
  • What of those who would want to build neighborhoods in the city?

I HAVE A DREAM:
  • Of Clan Tumnosh being worthy a map-marker, and perhaps a vendor selling structural furnishings (so all will know the greatest masons of Wrothgar).
  • Of Clan Shatul someday having an Echatere mount - or echatere bone-and-fur motif. Or maybe a quest to hunt & contribute to earn such.
  • Of Clan Fharun, reduced to smolders, getting small furnishings & quests like the Ashlanders in Vvardenfell, sent to retrieve relics the fanatics failed to burn.
  • Of Clan Morkul, staying fabulous, they're really the greatest.
  • Of Clan Murtag getting a cave-home like Erstwhile Sanctuary, but it's deep and carved and cavernous.

But most of all, that Wood Orcs, Iron Orcs, Wrothgarian Orcs - Orcs in Morrowind, Skyrim & Cyrodiil alike - have anything structural so we can build our authentic homes. We could rebuild Orsinium ourselves, entire neighborhoods in each Manor, if only we had the blocks to do so.

The long-dead Dwemer have more structural furnishings than the living Orsimer.
So much love for a cities devoid of people - but what of the Orcish diaspora longing for a place to call home? :(

Honestly though. I doubt I'd even use them myself, but they should really go back and add more new things to old daily quest rewards. Not only would it bring them in line with newer DLCs but it would also encourage people to revisit older content. Imagine if they added weapon and armor furnishings to Fighter's Guild daily quest rewards? Beast and enemy corpse furnishings to Bogrul's. I know a lot of people would start engaging more if the rewards were more worthwhile, even by a small extra drop table.

Weapons via Fighter's guild would be superb.

But yeah - it'd be a lot easier to form Orc guilds if we could actually have a place in the world. There are some large homes, sure, but with no building blocks it means everyone lives in the same identical building. Small, struggling strongholds scattered across the map have various tent furnishings & walls & such - but I want to build entire districts the way Necrom & Fargrave furnishings let us do.

Another easy reward was if we could "pokemon capture" NPCs as houseguests or training dummies or (something poseable). They don't even need dialogue - but I'll redo Elden Root for generic Barkbite NPCs just to "fill" a crowd in a home. Imagine if the "kill X (creature)" achievements gave access to buying them.

WoW let Hunters tame NPC beasts as pets; the world was full of companion pets that could be used in Pokemon battles. If ZOS needs to monetize, sell a Crown token that lets us target an NPC for "capture" - after we defeat it, we get a simple copy in our homes. I'd go across Craglorn collecting Iron Orcs, visit Valenwood for Wood Orcs, delve Vvardenfell for Malacath fanatics.

Couldn't agree more with your post. My wood orc is lacking a plot of land that's not covered with bosmer houses. Don't even get me starting on proper furnishings, left alone structures to build a wood orcish stronghold in the depths of valenwood.

Orcs in general lack structural furnishings that are not covered in snow! - You cant use them in any orc-themed homes one can buy for gold and that's just awful and looks pretty fishy.

Orcs deserve more attention! - ( And the covenant as a whole deserves a DLC home one can buy for gold)

To add more to the distribution of furnishings between playable races:

Maormer got their own furnishing pack. Those guys aren't even a playable race.
Meanwhile orcs can't fight the habit of dropping snow on everything they build, even if it's been constructed in bangkorai.

and those are the only maormer furnishings we have besides 3 achievement furnishings and 1 antiquity.

orcs have a furniture style, luxury furniture, a furnishing pack, four homes, antiquities, and achievement furnishings.

more furniture would be awesome but maormer really don't have a lot.

probably better to point to ayleids and dwemer instead.
ayleids and dwemer also have furnishing packs, both are extinct. lots of other furniture and each at least one house.

    all really nice furniture though.

a plot of land in valenwood would be awesome yes, for wood orcs and bosmer.

    since you mention valenwood,
bosmer deserve more attention too :)
1 new motif since base game, no dlc, no dlc houses at all(crown or gold),
no new furniture since housing released besides 3 antiquities.

bosmer don't have any homes besides snugpod 1, 2, and 3.
at least orc homes are all different.

The largest Orc strongholds in-game are in Valenwood - not even the Covenant - so yes, I'd doubly support an uninhabited jungle space where we could build our own mix-use settlement. Maybe a pond enclosed in a copse of trees with a couple convenient caves nearby as shelter.

Orcs tho don't even get a home in Orsinium - imagine the call TO move TO our city & we can't even do that.

And the Dwemer comparison is stunning - they have dozens of pipes, fans, walls, plates, etc - and West Skyrim even gave them structural furnishings in a whole new aesthetic.... but Orcs can't build walls, floors, etc like one could do in Fargrave, Solitude, Leyawiin, High Isle, Necrom. Some of us would LOVE to build our own Orsinium neighborhoods.

Or even abroad! Ever since the Camoran Dynasty in Valenwood liberated slaves Summerset kept - Bosmer have been worthy cousins - and the largest strongholds are in Valenwood. Nords make good neighbors! Even Dunmer have Orcs in the Camonna Tong & among slavers (showing how far even THEY can embrace an Orc). The Shurgak Clan in Cyrodiil should inspire more Imperialized Orcs - the Empire was good to us!

Meanwhile, Ranser waged a pogrom on all city Orcs in Rivenspire a mere memory ago; the Pale Order Ring reminds us their emblem was a boar & noose; Bretons have a pig-king-killing festival; the ambassador to Betnikh openly tells us he thinks they should be wiped out; Evermore's history boasts refusing letting refugees from Hammerfell pass to Wrothgar (they had to trek the mountains instead); Wayrest ends with an Orc bending the knee to Emeric.

Argonians get more representation (Murkmire & Blackwood) away from the Dunmer (who are tentatively co-existing); some of us would like to NOT build snowy homes locked to Wrothgar. The further we are from the Covenant, the better! We'll build underground if we must, but some basic columns, floors, walls, etc would let us build our own homes.

Been wanting orcish structures for years. Making orcish themed houses is such a pain if you want to do anything custom, or just want to add some rooms or parts to the existing orcish themed houses.

But this goes for all base game and early dlc styles. It would be great if they could have an update that just added a bunch of structures fitting to all base game styles. Some dlc ones could also go for more, such as Leyawiin. It's a rather recent dlc but it's extremely lacking in structures and variety. Most structures we see in Leyawiin we can't make.

[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Orsimer being wrongfully called betmer for shaming purposes is an old joke that persisted throughout the franchise.

Exactly! https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Pig_Children is a classic in Breton bigotry.

And then compare https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Ring_of_the_Pale_Order, where the signet heraldly describes "The shield is flanked by boars and snares. Or are they nooses?" - Bretons literally let vampire-knights roam free killing non-Bretons with a lynch symbol.

And then compare https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:King_Boar - they literally kill a "Pig King" in the ruins of a mostly empty Stronghold.

Just to sprinkle along with https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Count_Peverel_Stemuseph, the Breton ambassador, whose 1st sentence to you (a complete stranger) is "If they won't join the Covenant, they should be wiped out!" (all because Chief Tazgol is still leery about Orsinium being burned).

The only true beast-folk are the half-elves.

Meanwhile, the Khajiit and Argonians always seem sympathetic, so no shame in being grouped with them.

Periodic reminder that no gift would be so great for the holidays, as some structural furnishings for Orcs. :#<3

Every race (except Bretons) in the game has such compassion for Orcs, that their daily writs help send supplies to Orsinium - so imagine what overwhelming joy the nations of Nirn would find, if only Orcs could build their own walls and roads to add to Orsinium's spires.

Think of the Malahk Orcs of Morrowind who may wish to build new fortifications around ancient Chimer shrins to Malak.

Think of Orcs of Cyrodiil, who appreciating the safety of the Empire, may wish to contribute their stonemasonry to help our Imperial allies.

Think of Wood Orcs who, wishing to co-exist with Bosmer, spare the forests and carve homes into the mountains themselves.

Not just Wrothgar - truly, all noble races would smile to see Orsimer build glorious homes of stone.
