chaos ball bug or glitch ?

hi ! sorry for the newbie question... i've been playing ESO for like more than just two months. Anyway yesterday (or the other day) i joined random BG. turned out to be Chaosball. what is weird about this is one team had total domination on the ball. not our team or the other team was able to get the ball. after a few minutes i realize i was in the area where the ball holder (all 4 purple team was there) but I cannot see who is holding the ball. i asked my team mates if they can see it. they also said they cannot see who is holding the ball.

is this a bug/glitch or something else?

This is a very old bug going way back. It used to happen consistently with pre-nerf Ironblood but I've only seen it a handful of times since. The player holding the ball will take no damage nor with there be any visual indicator around the player. You can run around the map and get 500 points without dying.

You can also drop a Negate right as the ball spawns and cause the chaosball to not spawn.

Lots of bugs in Battlegrounds. My favorite is the walls you can walk through on Arcane University and being able to drop underneath the floating teleporter pad so nobody can get to you.

Most propably a bug. There are multiple ways to cause it for example if ball player is picking up the ball and gets knocked back by the enemy in the exact split of second that he was interacting with the ball than he will pick it up but ball won't deal dmg.

ok thanks ! yeah someone on our team mentioned that some of the purple team are not taking damage as well...

pffft those lucky guys... i had to redo BG like 4x just to get my daily exp. yeah im not a pvp fan. i only do bg for the exp. lol !

Welcome to bgs! Please check out the add-on called better scoreboard that my friend, @M0R_Gaming made for the bg community!
It shows damage and healing for all participants as well as class icons. It adds excellent context/information to the scoreboard.

Glitch - happens less than 1 in 200 matches at best.
