Should eso get more variety for warden pets

The current pet is a bear and there is no pet control bar. There needs to be pet control bar that has pet abilities such as taunt, remain passive, guard, normal, heal pet, revive pet, tame pet, dismiss pet, rename pet, ultimate, role select, pet's skill line, and information display.

Besides a bear we wardens should be able to tame other creatures like foxes, dreadra, senche raht, wolves, spriggan, and many others.

World of warcraft and guild wars 2 have pet controls and combat bars. Eso should get one too.

    sure would be nice.
and i would love to summon more combat pets with my wardens. though there'd have to be a whole extra skill line for that.

is dreadra daedra? if so that doesn't really make sense as Wardens worship Y'ffre, not a daedric prince.

and what are pet controls and combat bars in guild wars 2?

What I want is more skin options for the bear. The system is already in place, adding a grey option to the standard brown. I'd love to see more options available for bear colors that are already available in the game on wild bears - honey blonde and white especially. No need to create new skins since they are already in the game and seems like a nice profit for the crown store. What's not to like?

Yes, please. I don’t like bears so I don’t care how many colors ZOS might make available. A bear does not fit at all with the Morrowind theme of the class either. It should be a kagouti or nix ox. Ideally, there should be different cosmetic sets of pets for different regions selectable by the player.

I like gw2's system and it'd make warden more distinct but at the same time I'm not too sure about it. You can already direct your bear and tell it to stop fighting and I think more commands on top of that could get overwhelming. What I would really like actually is something like gw2's advanced classes system.

This, most of the statement for the poll, has nothing to do with the poll. The poll is not about a pet control bar.

BTW, there are commands for the pets which include calling them back. The default seems to be to hold "Y" and then press the left mouse button to attack or hold "Y" and press the right mouse button to call back. That pretty much takes care of commanding the pet.

But again, this thread is not about commanding pets.

I think it should be a Kwama Warrior and not a bear, that way it fits with the other creatures in the Animal line since they are all themed off of creatures from Vvardenfel. But that would upset many a Norn lover I feel, so we can't have that~

Yes. I’ve long campaigned for removing the Morrowind specificity from warden visuals. I understand the tie in to the chapter back when the new class was a big selling point for the Expansion sales model, but it’s long past time to move on. Plenty of people would have an interest in nature magic on characters what would never even have seen a shalk, or cliff racer, or netch.

Since early beta, NPCs have accomplished the same with totems, and launching crows at people, and summoning wolves in addition to bears, and other alternate visuals which could be applied to Warden skills. Let’s get rid of the inherent class connection to a zone.

i agree and i think animals from regions where people actually worship Y'ffre like valenwood, summerset, and high rock would be much better.
like thunderbugs instead of shalks and crows could replace cliff racer.

optional would probably be best, but the morrowind fauna is weird for wardens

This, and I want it for Sorc pets too. We have a bunch of different Scamp skins, at least one other Clannfear skin and the Verminous Fabricant seems to use most of the same assets as the Clannfear too.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

There should definitely be a pet control bar, but at the same time, it could be its own weapon skill line with something like a conjurer/summoners stave, complete with a few abilities that can be used alongside your other skills that affect your own class based summons alongside the summonable pets in the independent summoner weapon skill line.

There is a good opportunity here.

Maybe Warden gets a Cliff Racer pet, which when equipped, makes Screaming Cliff Racer move 6 times faster, making it a PvP spammable that could actually be used!
