Why Do I Have This Effect On My Weapons?

This animated, pastel rainbow effect shows up when I preview weapons and also on the weapon I am currently using when I take it out (not when put away, however). I submitted a ticket to ZOS days ago but haven't heard back. Thought I would ask here in case anyone knows why this happens. It is not something I am fond of. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Probably the enchantment you have on your weapon. Prismatic maybe?

From the picture alone I'd guess that it's your weapon's enchantment which automatically flashes up once your weapon is unsheathed. Did you check yet if it's an enchant? I can't recall which one created this specific effect.

Oh, that makes sense! Yes, it is prismatic. Do I just have to choose an enchantment with an effect I can live with then? Poison at least puts a darker effect on so I can use that (unless anyone has a better suggestion).

You can craft a level one weapon with no enchants and equip it to preview without those effects.

Yeah, I wish the enchantments didn’t create this visible effect, especially since when dual wielding, you want two different enchantments, so my dual daggers no longer match. At least they look fine sheathed, now that I’ve ditched Grim Focus (nightblade). I think the enchantment to increase weapon damage is relatively unobtrusive but effective.
