Impossible event daily? Turn the Page

@ZOS_Kevin this is the quest to determine whether we get the tome furnishing or the music box, but the quest does not tell the player any of this. You are just asked to make a choice based on their personalities.

I had to keep referring to the webpage to make sure I favored the right NPC. I didn’t even see Yensa, just the other NPC Tralise.

How is it going to be a vote if the quest does not inform the player of the choices?

You don’t have to progress in another questline or anything — I did this quest on a character that hasn’t started the Necrom questline nor done any quests in the new area before doing the event and dailies today. I found some nice people to group with because I was sure I wouldn’t be able to solo the fights on that character, but opened the portal no problem, and we all finished the quest and daily.

Plus, I don’t think the quest is required for anything: The pages are for the community reward and the dailies give the tickets and all of the above give coffers.

Bosses seem to work best for this - I had world bosses drop two at a time.

I've gotten 47 from harvesting and treasure chests, just run around harvesting nodes and you should get plenty. The only reason I can think people are having trouble getting them is because maybe they didn't get the quest?

Though, having the event tickets drop from the Necrom city dailies instead of the event repeatable seems like an odd design choice; people in chat are nonstop asking how to get the tickets.

This. Make sure you have the quest or you'll get no parchments. I was farming for an hour with no drops until I realized I needed the quest. I got dozens after picking it up.

Farm public dungeon and overland bosses. You can also get a dozen from the trial.

This quest is abysmal. One hour of farming and nothing. The drop rate on the pages is absolute trash. Extremely poorly designed. I dropped this farce as it is not worth doing.

The quest-giver Mouth Gilvas literally tells you that you can find the pages pretty much everywhere.



They drop from resource nodes, chests, thieves troves, enemies... like he says, everywhere.

i gave away 15 yesterday, and already have 23 today after doing the daily. They drop very frequently from chests and resource nodes, and you can also get them in thieves troves

I played for 3 hours and got 15. I turned in one quest. If I wanted to complete the quest on all 6 of my toons it wouldn't really be possible with this drop rate.

I did the delve and world boss daily, ran Gorne 5 or 6 times, opened 8 or 9 chests and farmed nodes. All the basic stuff. The world boss dropped two as did the main boss in Gorne. The mini bosses in Gorne were mainly a loss. I think I got 2 in total from all those runs. I am still leveling Sharp so that why I was in Gorne.

If I wanted to farm the papers I think just doing the world bosses over and over would be the way to go. I'm not going to do that because I don't want to grind for an event...

I got mine in like 15 minutes from just picking nodes. They also aren't bound so they are saleable, I put a whole lot extra I had found up in one of my guild stores.

Both event dailies were really unenjoyable i quit both after the 2nd delve i had to run around, i opted for the wb daily which was a million times better and boxes from nodes which is what ill be doing daily instead.

5 pages are required for an event daily.

We've had events like this before, where the community must fill a bar in order to receive the event rewards. We have never failed to receive the promised rewards before, for any of the events. 2 other events rewarded houses and we got them. I have no doubt that we will receive them again.

This is the first time when a daily that required some sort of grind was required, however, I don't seem to be having any trouble finding the pages within 10-20 minutes. (I have noted that when harvesting, they seem to drop more frequently from runes for me, though that might simply be luck.)

It's day one and the bar is already at 60% or so, lol!

Okay. I was looking at the wrong bar. It was the one for the sisters, not the overall one for the other rewards. That one was going more towards the right in favor of the sister on that side yesterday, but now it’s 50/50 right in the middle.

It’s very confusing to have two status bars on the page like they do.

You get a purple coffer. I think this quest is more for flavor and to introduce you to different areas and quests in Necrom. It’s not necessary for the tickets or to turn in pages.

Khajiit would like to add that, although he has been a bit grumpy about a few things, he is very glad that this event is going on. It is more involved than past events, certainly, but this one likes these in-game parties, and would enjoy it greatly if they were always going on, in different zones or for different things.

Honestly, what they are giving away doesn't cost them anything but the lost revenue from selling the Crowns necessary to buy them. The real win for them is Necrom sales and the hype generated by the event.

While they say that there is a chance that the players will not win all prizes, the "proof the game is dying" messages following a "miss" will probably counter all of the marketing hype that was generated by the event. Even if the players can miss the top reward, if I were doing this sort of event, I would not want that as the final result of my marketing campaign.

If the players miss, they will probably just come up with something new for next year and stop doing this sort of event.

Yes, this is a droppable quest for anyone who doesn't want the Nymic portion.

You don't need to have the quest active to get the parchment drops.

I was farming mats and boxes for 20-30 minutes last night and dropped like 5 of the parchment pieces. I'd already done the quest and turned it in earlier in the day.

you dont need the quest to get them

i farmed resources for an hour and half and got almost 30 before i even picked up the quest lol

This is correct. I continued to pick up parchment pages long after I turned in the quest.

Yeah if you really can’t stand farming these Parchments they are tradeable so hit up a guild friend or check guild traders. I see stacks of 5 in traders for 5-6k on PS NA.

Anyone looking into this @ZOS_Kevin - why are some people able to get these parchments and others not? I have done over 60 wb / delve / pub dungeon / wandering seeker / nymic bosses and have not had one drop... but they drop from mudcrabs and runestones. And clearly I'm not the only one having trouble.

ive gotten them from all harvest nodes, i dont think i got a single one from killing enemies though

the only non-material source i got it from was final chest of a bastion nymic

the funny thing is that if you get the parchment from a material node, if the CP to double drops kicks in, it also doubles parchment too lol (i got 2 parchment from 1 material node before lol)

These parchments don't drop very well, been harvesting and killing now for 2 hours, i have had 2 drop , from harvesting all nodes i see, from bosses, from normal mobs, the drop rate is atrocious.

I don't have time to do this event every day if the drop rate is non existent, really annoying badly designed event hoping for a rng drop
