One handed skill line pls.. concept
One handed skill line should have been a thing from the start tbh...
so basically you just weild one 1h weapon without anything in offhand and they change it so that having a weapon equipped ALWAYS counts as 2 set pieces..
k now to how i think the skill line should play
one handed skills will be swift enough so that the dps difference between not animation cancelling and animation cancelling is minimal while relying heavily on light/heavy attack weaving.
this ensures that the weapon will provide consistent damage and rarely have to deal with cast times...
also im moving the thrown blades skill from dual wield and putting it in 1h skill line because its dumb that im expected to put both my weapons in one hand just so i can throw measly blade id rather just run up to them and hit them tbh..
some examples of skills
Jab {quick skill weaved around light attacks and other skills)
slash (quick skill weaved around light attacks and other skills)
surge( there is this one combo attack that the one handing npcs on ic flags do its like three hits and this is pretty much that. so perfect for punishing stunned players prolly gonna be an execute skill)
thrown blades previously from dw skill line (because this is where it honestly should be)
arc (swift and short ranged aoe slash to hit multiple enemies)
Ult: idk maybe you reduce damage taken by a unique amount for a duration and reflect all attacks back to caster...
as for passives this skill line should give optimal spell damage in place of random effects subjective to weapon type and have counter attack type passives as well... 1h should be a meta damage skill line as it frees up the character to better use magic and certain styles of combat... also skills should feel very smooth to play and weave..
