[BUG] Bash scales only with weapon critical

Bash critical uses only with weapon critical and not the higher stat from spell critical and weapon critical.

Ops, sorry what i wanted to say is that If i have 40% spell critical and 10% weapon critical, the bash damage will take only the 10% from weapon critical.

I can confirm Spell Critical doesn't apply to Bash attacks.

Methodology

• Essence of Spell Critical potion for Major Prophecy
• Dark Deal for Minor Prophecy
• Bash weave light attacks
• 6m dummy

730 bashes (11% crit), 384 light attacks (29% crit)



29.4% spell critical



11.4% weapon critical

Thanks for clarifying! Yeah, that’s probably an oversight. As far as I can tell, light attacks get hybridized properly, so I don’t see a reason bash shouldn’t. Especially since you can bash with a staff, and many tanks do. I wonder if bash with a staff takes only spell crit, then, or if it’s stuck with weapon crit.

This is still broken in Update 39 (9.1.5).

It's very bad for Sorcerers because Minor Prophecy from Dark Deal doesn't work at all toward Bash attack. This means Sorcerers using Spell Critical potions (Major Prophecy) still have 11% Bash Critical even though Spell Critical is 29%.

The only way around this is to run Weapon Critical potions (Major Savagery) and Weapon Critical poisons (Minor Savagery) which means you can't use any of the good potions like detection and heroism, or any of the good poisons like double dot, detection, snares/roots, speed/unstoppable, stamina recovery, etc. You can use Camouflaged Hunter for Major Savagery but it requires an extra bar slot and should not be needed with hybridization.

Methodology:

• Spell Critical 30.4% (99% uptime on Major and Minor Prophecy)
• Weapon Critical 12.4%

Observed Behavior: 1157 bashes and only 14% were critical strikes
Expected Behavior: 1157 bashes and ~30% should be critical strikes

I've tested it and bashing with an Ice staff uses weapon crit only.

This is moving from update to update, have we had any acknowledgment of this issue?
