Double XP Event Live?

That really sucks! ZoS didn't even have the heart to add Free Sweet Rolls (someone stole mine and my ticket was closed). Makes me more upset than an albino skeever hitchhiking in a snowstorm!

Are we sure about that +100% ?

I killed a lion on Live and got 869 x.p., which didn't seem like an increase to me. So, I went on PTS and killed the exact same lion with exact same character, and I got 1.8k.

There's no event running on PTS and my only xp boost on either server is that for ESO+.

Looks more like -50% for kills.

Oops didn't realise I'd used all my enlightenment on Live

I walked into a new little village and got 798 xp, at level 30, so it looks legit to me.

btw... how can you tell the normal skeever from the albino ?

It should, since other event buffs do. All xp gain sources are said to apply in the patch notes. Enlightenment doesn't, but that's arguably a bug, since they never mentioned that as an exception.

all xp bonuses indirectly apply to companions

companions earn a % of the enemy kill xp you do

so your buffs that affect kill xp (double xp from events, xp scrolls, training gear) all indirectly help with your companions xp

Thank you the nice surprise, ZOS! I've been having fun playing through the alliance storylines on my new Arcanists, so this will be a big help for leveling them this weekend. And for earning more CP levels on my mains, of course. Edit: And finally getting Bastian to max level.

Well I've been playing all morning, EU PS4, and I've not received 100% exp boost.
Saw the announcement under 'Featured' but not listed under 'Featured' in the store, and no 'Events Tab' in the store.
Also not displayed under the Character Active Effects.

Perhaps it's only on the American servers.

Unlike other events, this one doesn’t show up anywhere under active effects (likewise, it’s not even publicized under News or Events announcements on their website). It should be automatically applied to everyone. You can test it on xp earned in game - just be careful to check what other boosts you have going. It is a 100% boost additive with ESO+, Ring of Mara, xp scrolls or potions, and any event bonuses you might have remaining (like old Anniversary cake). Enlightenment is multiplicative with all that.

It's working for me. For instance, I have my crafters running 150% scrolls. For dailies they usually get (without scrolls) around 33 k xp with enlightenment. With the scrolls, they get around 54 k with enlightenment. With the xp boost and the scrolls they're getting around 76 k with enlightenment.

It's just not the huge increase people seem to think it is.

Yeah, 100% additive is definitely not the same as “double xp,” even though it gets shorthanded that way: It won’t be perfectly double unless you have no other sources of xp gain (no ESO+, no Ring of Mara, no xp scroll/pot, no training gear or Mora’s Whispers), disregarding Enlightenment, since that multiplies anyhow.

Are you running training gear? It’s 100% on the base xp value, so you must add it to to your other sources (not counting Enlightenment).

Prehaps I'm wrong just seems like its going slower than last time I lvl'd a toon.

Once enlightenment runs out it feels alot slower.Also put training on your weapons,and use heartland set that doubles weapon trait,fr more xp gain.
