Racial Motif: Imperial

So, I hear the Imperial motif is not tradable or BOP. Anyone able to confirm this?

I saw someone selling it in /zone earlier.

When you convert your gear to Imperial via the right click option it binds to that character. If you craft it from the motif it is tradeable like any other craft. That may be where the confusion is coming from.
Nothing is impossible... there are only differing degrees of probability.

Possibly, I just want to know if I have to farm like crazy to find a imperial motif that is BOP or if I can buy one from someone

All Motifs are not bind on pickup.

Awesome, Thanks Makong for the confirm. Looks like I have some farming to do for it and for a lot of gold so I can afford to buy it as I have only seen one linked in chat so far.

This one has been quite elusive. It's the last one I need besides the higher level rare ones (i.e. Ancient Elf, Daedric, etc). I've been trying to trade for it too without success. Actually had a couple people send me tells saying that they don't exist, lol.

Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief
    V'orkten - Redguard Swordmaster
Finnvardr the Frenzied - Werewolf Berzerker

Same here, just the four higher end ones that I am missing besides the Imperial. Going to try and farm for it but save up a ton of gold to buy it one day looks like the more likely option.

I bought the digital imperial edition of the game, and I thought I would get the ability to craft imperial gear no matter what race I chose to be. But I only have the option to convert gear to imperial gear. Have I accidentally removed a racial motif or something that followed a mail? Or is it just not the case that imp edition owners can craft this armor without being an imperial?

You have to have the motif to craft imperial gear unless you play as an imperial. Then you can craft imperial gear all you want.

As I understood in beta, Imperial motif will be obtainable to everyone, but is it not common as normal ones. So my guess is, it is on pair with Daedra etc motifs.
So far it looks like it is the case, because everyone is trading basic motifs but Imperial.

It's much more common than Daedric and other non-racial.

I'm playing as an Imperial and I can't craft Imperial gear unless I have the nickel for it. I'm still waiting for my physical copy of the Imperial Edition to come so maybe that's why I can't do it.

@Jeeves You need the racial material to craft any style. Nickel for Imperial or Flint for Argonian, Bone for Bosmer, etc. So you can craft it, you just don't have the material. That's quite different from not being able to craft at all because you don't know the racial style.

In the meantime, you can just right-click something an convert it to imperial. I think it binds the gear to you though. So it's not an ideal solution.
