Quest bugged: The Lost Symbol

Greetings,

I am on the quest The Lost Symbol with Isobel.
I am found Kiv in Craglon and now I have to punish him (Choose a punishment for Kiv).
Nothing is happening though. According to YouTube at this point his friends have to show up but they aren't coming and I can't click anything or do anything.
I tried relogging and reloadui but nothing happens.


I got disconnected mid quest yesterday and now this is happening. My game keeps disconnecting like every 10 minutes, so I am not in a good shape to restart a long quest and hope it doesn't bug out again.

Any ideas?

Dismissing companions helps a lot for quest bugs like this, see if that helps.

EDIT: it might help the quest being stalled but of course the disconnects will be something else entirely

Thanks for the tip but it didn't work in this case.
I guess I will wait to see if the maintenance of Monday fixes anything before I abandon the quest and start it over.

Thanks for the tip but it didn't work in this case.

I also think combat pets might have been mentioned as a problem too. Did you have sorc pets or the warden bear out?

I have tried all the above. Dismissing pets, companions, reloading UI, logging off and this quest is still bugged. Even if you get Galedra and Julles to show up, Goldleaf doesn't have a good chunk of his dialogue in the basement.

But ALL my companion quests are bugged at least with Voice overs/acting/dialogue. Sometimes its compeltly missing like with ANY quests in Apocropha and the Telvanni Penn that all the daedra and a few other characters don't have voices anymore...

The good news is that this particular quest is actually not that long, AND you haven't had to do any actual fighting along the way. You should already have tagged all the nearby wayshrines, so it really does not cost much to drop it and restart it.
