Alliance Points and Bounty Quests

It seems wrong to me, that the people who leach off their groups the most, turning in bounty quests, are the ones who get the most alliance points.

The system encourages you to commit suicide after 20 kills! And I see people do it all the time!!

It's sad that the emperor is not exactly someone who is contributing a lot to their team, but is instead, someone who frequently ditches their team, in order to turn in quests.

On the other hand, I may go a couple hours, kicking butt and taking names, not dying at all, capturing keeps, etc., yet I will get significantly less AP because of it. That's just not right!

I think that actually staying in the fight should get you more AP. This could be done by either increasing the AP reward for kills, or by making it so that you could save up an unlimited amount of bounties, and turn them all in at once. So, for example, you could save up 200 kills worth of bounties, and then turn them all in at once for 10x the reward.

Also, another small issue - I think the Keep capturing, and resource capturing quests, need to count towards ANY keeps or resources (Not a specific, random ones, as it works currently.). It can be hard enough to take a keep, let alone a random one that could be on the other side of Cyrodiil. Also, the reward for capturing a keep is way too low, and should be at least doubled, if not quadrupled. The reward is way too measly.

    True. Unfortunately these are difficult things to balance during the beta. I think we can expect to see some future tweaks to PvP now that the game is live.

    Seems they hotfixed during the maintenance to remove them being repeatable. Kinda crappy since now you'll never catch the AP leaders nor be able to level via PvP nor be able to have enough AP for piece of gear and to help repair or get siege equipment...

    I'd prefer if the kill enemy players quest simply had a higher tally on it. Having to turn it in so frequently is discouraging. It would be nice if I could do several battles before having to warp back to the base; as it stands now every time I die results in me returning to the gates before going back to PvP.

    I definitely agree with this, the capturing keep and resources quests are spotty at best and normally end up getting finished by coincidence days after being taken.

    Woah! Is this true?

    If so, I guess PvPing right away paid off!

    But on the other hand - now getting AP and XP will be insanely slow, instead of just slow.

    We should be able to level as fast in PVP as in PVE. If they did "fix" the 20 people quest they should raise the XP for PVP.

    I've been repeating the quest today.
    Is there maybe a cooldown or something on it now? No idea what you are refering to.

    Six hours of solid pvp yesterday got me ONE level on my character, and barely any gold to show for it.

    In contrast... six hours of PVE would have gotten me SEVERAL levels easily...

    Levelling in PVP needs to be just as viable as PVE... some of us don't want to PVE.

    yes have been in groups with some of the top ranked players and only see them stand nearby there group getting the kills then suicide for the easy return to get the quest again u do not even need to fight to b rank 1

    Bottom line is this quest needs to be repeatable.

    If this change is going to be made, the campaigns should be reset on 4/4 or the change implemented after the current campaign ends.

    Not only does it give no hope to anyone seeking to reach Emperor that switched campaigns because one was overflowing with your Alliance. This is the biggest problem I see, as anyone attempting to catch up now has almost no hope, unless the top people all stop playing. some are 250-300k Alliance Points and it'd be impossible to reach, let allow pass that with this being a daily quest. It's just extremely unwise to change something so impactful to the game once it's in use for multiple days. This quest wasn't a bug, it was working as intended for the beta weekends, PTS and Live, a sudden change is unwarranted and unwise.

    It also restricts the resources to repair, provide siege equipment and buy new equipment from the vendors. I have no want to buy siege equipment or help repair as the rewards for doing so are so minor to the cost, when I could upgrade equipment.

    Unfortunately, any tweaking to it will upset someone in community that didn't get to use it like everyone else has. It's caused afk'ers and suiciders, but at least they come back. Making it 40 or even 1000 wouldn't make no difference, cause the rewards would still scale and people would just suicide less often. It's bad enough they took /stuck out of Cyrodiil where I've been legitimately stuck twice already, thank goodness you can teleport to another campaign then back to yours as a workaround.

    I've been a huge advocate for TESO and got all my friends to play, and even with this seeming not so groundbreaking to the game, it's the wrong time to do the change.

    And of course, though it's minor impact, I'm strongly considering canceling my Imperial Edition, especially one that is so gamebreaking to me. A game I've been waiting so long for since announcement, especially being a player of DAoC and WAR for many years.

    If we now need to live with this as a daily quest then two things go hand in hand wth this major change:

    1. Reduce the AP cost of seige and repair kits
    2. Reset all leaderboards.

    Drastically reduce the AP cost of siege and repair kits. I can buy some with gold, but the gold rewards are very low. A reset on 4/4 would be nice if this isn't a late April Fools joke.

    Although i already earned a good chunk of AP, i personally wouldnt mind the campaigns getting reset for release. But i expect a lot of people would be pissed about it.
