Considering the current coverage of hybrid, this might be pretty much the last remaining place to treat weapon damage/spell damage separately. It'd be exciting if we could get a unique new Mundus Stone effect by remaking Warrior & Apprentice.
yep they might as well remove one for something else and just call it damage weapon and spell means very little now, apart from minor buffs a class brings but in a trial one or the other is covered, so they might as well also rename those class passives to be just damage
I can see several of them getting a touch up now that some systems have been reworked. That goes to balancing across the board though, and after classes, skills, and sets I'd imagine Mundus stones are low on the list.
Good ideas in here though. I really like the Apprentice for Companions.

"Nightblade healer huh? How does that work?"
"I drain the blood of our enemies and fire it into you. It's a lot less messy than it sounds, and yeah I'm basically a Vampire without the whole AGH FIRE BAD"
They should, but they probably won't. For some reason, ZOS seems content to keep hybridization as a half-baked product instead of finishing it properly.
1 day... I've been waiting for them to finish hybridization for a long time.
Back when they started the major changes in Jan-ish 2022, they mentioned in the combat preview that they would be looking to combine crit and damage stats like they did with resistances into armor and spell/weapon pen into pen.
They at least tackled the enchant issue by slapping a bandaid fix on it with stam/mag regen.
It's only a matter of time, but the issue they're running into is probably:
- Poisons
- Potions
- Minor Class Buffs
- Mundus Stones
If they combine the values today, you get 1 redundant mundus stone, Sorc/NB overlapping, DK/Templar overlapping and potions/poisons are all messed up.
Honestly can't believe it's been almost 2 years and they didn't do it for Update 39 where they have no content in it.
DK/Templar and Sorc/NB already overlap in most organized PvE cases. If you have Major Brutality and Sorcery already (either self-sourced from a skill or from a DK providing Igneous Weapons to the group), then it doesn’t matter if you get Minor Brutality or Sorcery - unless you’re running the weapon or spell damage mundus, which you aren’t if you’re speccing for max damage in group PvE.
If you already have Major Savagery and Prophecy, it doesn’t matter if you get Minor Savagery or Minor Prophecy to go with it. Skills that grant one crit Major (e.g. Camo Hunter, Flames of Oblivion, and Vampire’s Bane) grant both, as does Oakensoul.
Class buffs will matter if you have only Major Brutality or Sorcery (not both) or if you have only Major Savagery or Prophecy (not both), meaning you would be running weapon or spell damage + crit potions instead of using skills that grant the buffs and must not have a DK providing Igneous Weapons.
