Done a massive fight that lasted 40 minutes at Ales on PC EU. Got 9 killing blows and 23 kills. Had pelenials double AP active and blessing of war and we held all 6 scrolls and 2 edge keeps, but the defence tick was only 14k ??

Yes. You get less AP for repairing and killing players now, as of Necrom. And they removed the faction health buff for gaining emp now too.

    Greetings,

This thread has been moved to the Alliance War & Imperial City section, as it is better suited there.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Ravenwatch not too long before your post? Because the 40 minute fight I remember ticked for 92k.

We had a couple of 90k+ defensive ticks in PC/GH yesterday, but they were epically long battles involving 2 entire factions plus the inevitable 3rd faction tower monkeys. I haven't noticed a nerf to AP gains. Maybe there just weren't that many attackers compared to the number of defenders in your battle.

the ticks are usually based on how many people died during the fight, and how much AP those players were worth

if people were dying frequently, they wouldnt be adding as much to the tick, if the attackers got wiped really quickly, with few deaths on the defense side, the tick would be quite a bit lower

there are a few times where ive seen it not make sense, like a really big/long battle that was only worth like 14k and then other times killed like 3 people and gotten a 8k tick

It also takes into account the number of players present on your faction for the reward.

Had a 150k tick last night from a huge defensive stand.

The formula I heard long ago for Defense ticks was approximately this:

7000(number enemy deaths + number friendly deaths)/ number defenders.

It is approximate because AR of those who die affects it

It doesn't count a death if it occurs within 5 minutes of a prior death.

So, you'll notice if you are alone at a keep and 2-3 people attack it and you manage to kill them, you can get a large d tick! The denominator in that case is one, so you get all the credit.

If you have a huge defending force, the d tick is less.

The other day 2 AD attacked a keep and I got a 20k dtick from them. Since it was MyM the expected d tick would have been higher but they must not have been very high ranked.

If you don't have the keep's resources, defence ticks will be much lower. If you have all the resources from the keep you are defending, one player kill should bring 19k def tick with the scroll on. If you don't have the resources, it will bring same amount as the kill from the player.

Ticks were changed a number of years ago to be based on the keep upgrade level. Outposts are not included in this.

when you own all resources and they are claimed by a guild in your faction the keep will upgrade at it's fastest rate.

The higher the keep level the higher the tick.

So if the enemy owns the resources and the keep downgrades to 0 then the tick will be way lower than if the keep has only just been attacked and all the resources are still yours with the keep at level 2.

As far as I know the formula is (enemy death ap + friendly death ap)/number of people who get the tick*(5 if your keep has lvl 2 of all ressoursses)*other ap multipliers/percent buffs.
Somewhen got a 180k ap deff tick for defending a keep vs 3 players with low pop and double ap test.
