Caluurion is still a good set for a magblade?

As title says, is it still a good set or there is something better for a pvp magblade?

It isn't bursty enough anymore. Try Red Mountain, Flame Blossom, perhaps Rush of Agony, I'm sure there's more.

I like it and still use it all the time.

What it has going for it is you can stack it with other procs, it sticks to the target you want it to hit, it fires noticeably faster than red mountain or flame blossom, and it'll be up every 5 seconds.

It's not a busted insta win set anymore though. It's just a proc set that gives more damage than most stat sets would. For best results, combine with an instant hit proc like Ashen Grip.

One thing to note if you use Balorgh; if you proc it with a light attack before your ult it won't benefit from the WD/SD, but appears to benefit from the penetration.

I got hit with cal and ashen gank today, I'm running 30k health and 28k resists and I got deleted. Great gank tbh.
