Does this count for skills in your secondary weapon bar?

@Khazaad Not 100% sure but I believe the answer is no. It has to be the active hotbar.

I am glad people are finding these tips for new characters helpful. Starting out in a game can be daunting, but knowing you can relax the first 20 levels... helps you ease into the game.

In a recent Q&A, the dev's acknowledged that heavy armor is kinda...lacking. (tanks can hit the armor/spell resist cap with only wearing a few pieces of heavy armor). I hadn't heard of the changes, but then again, I have been out of touch the last couple of weeks. When they make the changes, I can definitely make changes to the armor portion.

You are correct sir! When I played the Beta, I found those first levels to be kind of confusing, and then I didn't buy the game due to the subscription model. Now I'm back, but I was still worried about figuring out those mechanics all over again, so thank you for the help!
