Dirt / soil patches

We have a bunch of platforms for turning exterior areas into buildings... but we don't have a whole lot in the way of turning interiors into exteriors. I would love to get a few different sized dirt/soil platforms that I can make gardens with.
Case in point, I am looking at my Stone Eagle Aerie right now wishing I had dirt to make a garden around my waterfall.

Empty planter boxes in a range of sizes/shapes would also be really great!

I’ve had a great experience using ruins from the north elsweyr housing vendor and in research I found people also use clockwork junk piles and flip them upside down. That said, it would be nice to get some dirt platforms. Grass platforms too.

This comes up a lot and they seem to have listened a bit re planters, just not planters without plants in.

I did a post on this the last time I searched for alternatives to do it here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/596453/earth-dirt-soil-for-plant-beds

I vaguely remember other lists too.

But, yes, bigger, for-purpose patches of soil and planters WITHOUT PLANTS are sorely needed.

The hay piles flipped over make a decent earth-like substance.

You know I actually like these; https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/elsweyr-sand-meditation-ring-large/ and the corresponding small versions as I've used them to make some gardens. Maybe try them out with a couple different plants?

The symmetry doesn't look natural, and not many plants in the world can actually grow in sand. That is why deserts are mostly just sand.

Anyway, some extra natural looking ground covers would be amazing to get.

"Wedding Planter, Octagonal" was at the start of February at the Luxury Furnisher. If you turn it around, you have a planter with soil. At the luxury furnisher it cost 20k, to buy it now means to look in guild stores for it.

I'm talking about large, dirt only things that you could place to cover up some minor things and use as a basis for custom gardens and fields.

The underside of those planters is soil rather than stone (you asked for "empty planter boxes"). Although their being octagonal isn't ideal and the edge looks a bit thin /weird when upside down because the soil is almost perfectly flat and goes right to the brim.

The limestone shelves from the Alinor furniture vendor when turned upside down have a flat brown-soil like appearance. Have used them for that before.

I used a bunch of ancient rubble pile, ancient stones upside down for dirt and upside for mounds. Those can be bought from
Zadraska in Senchal; Yatava in Rimmen. I also used boulder, Wethered Desert for sand. Although those I got from the Crown Store.

Came here to suggest the same thing. Those ancient rubble piles, flipped over, make for passable dirt - especially in the Elsweyr-themed homes where the ground is already that rusty color. The "Dark Elf Ash Garden, Communal" can be flipped over as well and you get a flat, sandy garden area with no skulls or bones. There are several boulders available from both Home Goods vendors and the Purchase Furniture shop that work well as soil with a little flipping and/or finagling.

All that said, though, it sure would be nice to have some ready-to-go patches of garden soil or farming rows that we could plop our plants & moon sugar stalks down into.

@Omegacron Thanks for the dark elf communal tip! I will do that next time. Yes, also did all those soil type rubble for my Lunar house. Also clockwork rubble pile is also nice for soil flipped over.

In Erliru's cottage on High Isle he had near a desk a three level planter with squares of dirt full of mushrooms. That item with and without the mushrooms would be nice for a furnishing. And just one of the planters alone too, but better if in all shapes and sizes. It would even work for outside, just sink it a bit into the ground.

Oh yes I would very much like these, especially the round barrel full of them.

I have used the new octagonal planter as a veg/herb patch and am quite pleased with the result although there are not enough crop type plants available to make it perfect. I would love the tomato vines amongst others seen in the game to create a veggie plot for my coven cottage. Soil squares or patches would be ideal so we can design our own shape and size.

The planter is quite large and mine ended up at Kelesan’Ruhn as it was difficult to find a piece of ground flat enough in the rest of my gardens, to have it the depth I wanted.

If you're still looking for crop-type stuff, I was able to use a combination of tomato vines and/or grapes combined with vines & ivy. I used the Elsweyr rack for one and the Stockade for the other. Wasn't perfect, but they were passable unless you look too closely.
