Will there be a Buy/Sell/Trade section in the future?

itsXthomasTAG
Any chance on them adding a buy/sell/trade section on the forums? Reason i'm asking is because i have three racial motifs that i'd like to trade for the ones i want and when i posted one single time in zone chat i got raged at by two people.

Right now, it is only within the guilds, and it seems they are sticking to their guns with that.

I am surprised there is no Trade channel.
  • itsXthomasTAG
Well thats certainly not good news since i really don't want to get yelled at for trying to trade my motifs in the zone chat. :\

Not the best answer... but /ignore those people who are unreasonable.

I remember when LOTRO launched, if I were to shout something that was not RP, I got yelled at hardcore. "This game is amazing!" "Hey keep the OOC out of the channel!"

    Funny, but not.

Guess i should've expected it, this is a mmo afterall and there seems to be an abundance of *** in any given mmo out to date. Oh well, i'll ignore them and give zone chat a shot again. On the off chance that you're in ebon pact area and know anyone looking for the argonian, orc and redguard motifs let me know. I'm after the khajiit, dunmer and altmer ones.

Never, in the history of mmorpgs, has the Trade channel been used properly, if at all. There's always people who would rather trade in general chat and who won't be dissuaded from doing so. They don't care if they annoy other people. I just /ignore them, silencing them forever.

Well really it depends how they set up the channel.

If the trade goes across the entire game, then it will be used for something else.

If it is for the zone itself, it is a better place to go than the general chat with all the gold selling spam. (turning off /yell helps a little.. but only a little).

Agree, typically a trade channel is abused only if it has some special access that no other channels have. For example at one time in WoW, the trade channel went across all city zones, and was the only channel to do that. Of course it was abused.

If there is another general channel that has the exact same access as the trade channel, then (for the most part), it is used for trade, and the general channel has much less trade (though some nimrods will spam both, that's unavoidable). The key is to not give the trade channel any bigger audience than another channel.

There will always be unreasonable people and there will always be people who go out of their way to goad. The /ignore function is there for a reason. :)

Arent you able to join multiple Guilds in this game? If so. Join a Trade Guild (as they have no interest in anything more then giving you a platform to sell your wares). Set up a seperate channel for this Trade Guild and treat it like a Trade Channel.
