Deleted Character Name

I'm wanting to recreate one of my sorcerers into a necromancer. Sadly, we don't have a Class Change Token yet so going to have to delete it and remake from scratch. Is there any delay in deletion and recreating to keep the name she has? I really like it and don't want it gone but don't want her character anymore. Is there any way to save how she looks before deletion either? Just was curious, I figure not but thought I'd ask.

    I have done it and I do not recall a delay.

    Why not create a new character and keep the old one?

    I am certain a new name is possible or even add a last name to the new character. One day you just might want to play the sorcerer again and will have to start all over again, grinding or paying for guild skill lines, etc., just do play a class you already leveled up.

    I have done the name thing. created character, did not like what I saw in play, deleted and created it again, fixing it.

    Name availability is immediate.

    I suppose you could write down all the settings as you create a character, but generally you should be able to just recreate what the character looked like without much issue. Especially if you looked at the character, maybe made a screenshot, just before deleting it.

    Greetings,

    After review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic (Players Helping Players, as the OP is asking for information from fellow players about particular aspects of character creation).

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Regarding the character’s appearance, if you don’t mind buying an appearance change token, you can look at what the sliders are without consuming the token before you delete the character. I always try to keep one appearance change token handy for this. From the char select screen you act like you are going to use the token to change the characters’s of appearance but you don’t actually save the changes and cancel instead, not consuming the token. You can use your phone to take pics or take screenshots of where the sliders are, and then re-create your character that way. Pay attention to the voice you chose, hair and eye color, height, etc.

    I've got 3 sorcerers already, I don't want anymore. So I'm just gonna delete her and recreate it. I've got a spare Dragonknight I need to delete as well to open up spaces. I still need an Nightblade, Necromancer, and Arcanist. So gonna delete the Sorcerer remake her as a Necromancer. Find a good name for a Nightblade and then an Arcanist. :) The Sorc I'm deleting is just level 33 or something and I have plenty of EXP scrolls. So no big deal leveling her back up!

    @Elvenheart

    I've got a few from when they gave them out so I need to pop into it again and get the settings, I may tweak some but I did like what I had for the most part. Was kind of hoping they had like a pre-load option as I haven't been in there all that much.
