Keep messaging - will this destroy small scale groups?

Sorry for the clickbait title.

I noticed this in the patch notes:
New PvP Keep Messaging
We’ve added new messaging for guilds that claim keeps and resources in Cyrodiil. This new feature is delivered through a chat message or on-screen notification stating how many guards were killed and by how many enemy combatants were in the area at the time. There are also follow up messages noting when guards are no longer being killed at a claimed keep, outpost or resource.
This messaging only applies to players within Cyrodiil and match the Alliance of the keep/resource/outpost.
If a Guild owns a Keep and its resources are claimed by other guilds, the Keep owner will also be notified when resource guards are killed.
This new feature can be found in your Social menu in the game options; you can choose where the messages are displayed or you can disable them entirely.

Does this pop up as soon as a guard is killed? Because if so, small groups will never be able to take a keep anymore when outnumbered in population. Right now if you’re fast and can flag the keep before the owner noticed you may be able to take it because players cannot port there. If a message pops up when a guard is killed and it also shows how many players are there… Then this is another win for the big zergs. Guard got killed? Ok everybody port right away and outzerg the small group.

Didn’t ZOS once state they wanted to counter big groups? It’s already a case of “who can consistently get the biggest zergs going” but it seems to me that with this the ability for small groups to make a difference is completely destroyed.

No, this won't destroy small scaling. In fact, this will do the opposite, it will enable small scale players to get fights in pvp more, because now you don't have to go far in order to aggro a zerg or a fight because guild chats will be lit up with notifications.

As a solo player, I have to follow around where the zergs are going in order to get fights, but with this change it will just bring people to me directly. The map campers already are fast about showing up to a flagged keep on the map, this will just make zerg response time even faster, which means I can actually jump into pvp'ing quicker without having to zerg surf

I think going to a resource, NOT flipping the flag and sieging from the tower to a wall will still be sneaky, as well as not aggroing guards on patrol while shooting the wall. I think players will also find ways to make the system give misinformation. If you have 3 on a Ram but 15 in stealth, does it report the stealthed players? I imagne the ranges are similar to how it calculates your AP. Lots of people got berated for bad callouts and so don't make them, and some may not pass the info to keep the defense tick for themselves.

It won't destroy small group anymore than it will kill fake guild names owning a keep just to insult people.

So basically if a faction is one bar vs two or three on the other ones, it will be almost impossible to take keeps anymore because as soon as one guard is killed on the front door there will be an alert. What an absolutely terrible way to implement this. I guess they really do only want people to zerg and Grayhost PC/NA will be a blue map from now on.

@ZOS_Kevin was any thought given to how this will impact outnumbered factions trying to take their keeps and resources back?
