Attacked world wide? You are celebrated world wide, just look at every single western company logo, embassy flag, schools, entire streets and even crossings are painted rainbow to celebrate pride. You are being attacked no more than anyone else. People play games for an escape. Leave it for player guilds to run and let ZoS focus on actually improving the game for everyone. Such as deleting a server to balance out PVP pops hint hint devs.

Because we are attacked. Thats why. Forest meet trees.

LGBTQI people never got discriminated in ESO, they are represented by quest npcs too. You also cant see the real gender and sexual orientation of other players in ESO, so you cant discriminate them for it. Many players are ingame-trans and play the opposite gender, you can choose your gender and sexuality in ESO. A friend even married me ingame althought we are both male

Offering some LGBTQI items in crown store/other stores would not be a problem, but having an event with event tickets you have to participate if you want all tickets or guards talking about LGBTQI on pride day would be really annoying for not gay players.

I wish ZOS had drawn the line and took the time to create the early holidays to be unique to Elder Scrolls, based on the lore holidays, and made an effort to distance themselves from IRL holidays, events, and practices. A lot of people like this stuff, but it is a minefield with a flash point that merely depends on how averse some players are to the concepts they are based on.

Even though the proverbial door is open and the horse has exited the building, I still think it is worth the effort to close the door and stop doing it for new holidays, events, and observations.

anything that shows extra support would be nice.

though all these people commenting they don't want pride related things in eso are so absurd, plenty characters in elder scrolls arent straight/cis and they won a Glaad award with Alchemy's Summerset quest.

if you don't want us in elder scrolls online you shouldn't play a game full of characters like us

Video games are art, art reflects the current problems in the world. This has been true since art was created. Representation for opressed minorities is important and a valid request.

ZOS did a pretty darn good job at making a game that's very inclusive and makes sure everyone can feel represented. They don't need Pride Month, because they're doing a good job at this year round, which is a more important statement than changing a logo for a couple of weeks.

I do not want to read through all the comments on this thread as I expect it to be a trashfire but I would just like to point out that Destiny 2 added a rainbow emote for pride which was lovely and it would be nice to see something similar.

It's just a nice little rainbow. No reference in-game to irl events.

There is one, kind of. There’s a rainbow momento that was introduced with the scalecaller crate and repurposed as a pride momento.

I personally do not think that this is an addition the game needs. I personally am a player type that dislikes real life festivals to take place in games. Heart’s Day for example is something that I feel the game did not need. It to me is something immersion breaking. I play the game to escape realety for a few hours after all. Getting as far away from realety for a few hours is what I need to relax.

Adding an event that brings in a loaded topic with all the negative emotions connectet to the way it is discussed, will be a disservice to everyone. TESO is not a perfect game and Zenimax is for from a perfect publisher. But they are inclusive in a way that represents LGBTQ+. I do not want my place of escapisim to become a battlefiend for politics! So please do not include an event like this.

I'd also like to note that beeing inclusive means also to respect that not everyone is like you and does not nessesarily have the same values or world fews as you do. And wanting the entire world to tell you that you are perfect the way you are and taking them not doing that as an insult or exclusion is somewhat unhealthy. Forcing your point of few onto others will likely make them less open to your point. After all we all dislike it when someone wants to force us into something. And some of us do not mind something, but trying to force us to like or embrace it makes us dislike it. So do not push to hard or you will feel a push back even by those that did not mind your way to begin with.

I was an opponent of the "christmas-ization" of the New Life Festival, and the fact that they included Halloween trimmings with Witches Festival. They don't do holidays and observances for a great many things in the real world. Best to keep it that way.
