Is slimecraw guise better than slimecraw mask for stamina dps?

I see lots of builds using a guise instead of a mask. Is it stronger with the undaunted mettle passive than mask?

due to the armor types there are different benefits

light armor (guise) would give a little more crit chance and pen
medium armor (mask) would give a little more raw dmg and crit dmg

you would have a bit less armor with the light armor piece, but depending on the rest of the build this could be negligible

I think the guise shows up in a lot of trials builds running medium armor 5 piece sets, specifically for the light armor pen bonus, trying to get to that 18.2k including all relevant buffs and debuffs.
