Will Plaguebreak still be used after the patch?

I'm seriously considering abandoning it altogether and now have to think of a set to replace it. I mean sure it still works the same against players but it's not always about players. There are guards in Cyrodiil and mobs in IC and using this set limits your effectiveness against them.

I'm not saying the nerf is a bad thing lol but I think it went way too far.

Of course the nerf went too far.
They literally deleted it from PVE altogether.

Exactly it's totally deleted from PvE instead of adjusted vs mobs.

IC is a mix of PvE and PvP so what's the point of wearing it there now? Even Cyrodiil is occasionally a mix at least with guards.

It might possibly still be useful in BGs so I might not decon my gear but I see no point in wearing it anywhere else now.

I'm most likely going to replace it altogether instead of keeping it for a PvP build. The change was completely stupid and overdone. The change not only stopped my build from working and allowing me to play as I did, but the spagetti code has also caused my bank details to stop working too! Oh no!

Yes it will still be used even post nerf. I've been hit by it for 11k (before necrom update) in BG's and that's without any sort of NPCs as BG's don't have npcs in the first place.

Obviously it would still be used, it's still one of the strongest proc potentials you can get in this game. There's hardly any procs that can hit as hard as plaguebreak can in a single burst hit. It just no longer allows for the easy nuke gameplay it did before.

It's so sad that this fun set (PVE perspective) has been made useless for PVE purposes. ZOS's banhammer approach is just the laziest way of adjusting this set. I'm very disappointed.

In PvP it will still be an excellent set - it isn't really changing much there. It will be less "cheesy" in IC and fights with a lot of guards, as mobs won't be able to proc the explosion; however, mobs still contribute to the extra damage modifier so you'll still be able to hit absurd explosions in those settings.

In PvE, the set was basically deleted lol

for cyro fights, i would say i would still use it

for IC, it will be less useful especially if your running solo or mostly pve, though as mentioned if your fighting players the npcs will still help contribute to the explosion dmg scaling

The frustration with the nerf for this set for PVP is the devs said pets were proccing it. But pets can give and take damage for the player. With the targeting system, its sometimes harder to hit the player than the pet, especially in a multiple player fight. With the Oakensorc essentially being everywhere, pets are everywhere. They should not have changed Plaguebreak when it comes to pets.

If they wanted to keep it from adds proccing the damage onto players, they could have done that.
