Looking for accurate, updated info on damage from sneak/invisibility in PvP

Given some upcoming changes to Detect Pots and NB skills, I'm reworking my NB build a bit for PvP. Primarily I'm interested in knowing exactly when extra damage buffs get activated after leaving sneak or invisibility (from skills like Concealed Weapon or Strike from Shadows). For instance, if I'm sneaking and fire a ranged ability, do I instantly leave sneak and get my damage buff before the ranged attack hits the enemy, or do I only get the damage buff after my first attack hits the enemy? Anything I search on this brings back a lot of conflicting information (e.g., some say before, some say after, and some ppl claim it only works in PvE and not PvP, or vice versa). So confusing!

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Also, I believe the changes to Concealed Weapon only affect the Maj Expedition situation, right?
