Mara's Blessing (the exp bonus)

okay so I am the Type of Player who Reads everything and goes to every little bit of the quest area to well Adventure of course.
Now my Best Friend and I did the Mara's Blessing Contract and got the rings. He is the type of player that skips dialogues and just goes on and doesnt look at every corner of a quest.
I Would love to read my quests without haste but here is my question.
" Do we Really have to be near each other to gain the EXP Boost? "
or
"can we just be in the same group and still get the EXP Boost even if were not near each other"

alot of people look at this signature, i guess youre one of them.

jmido8✭✭✭It's a 10% xp boost and you only have to be 1) in the same group, and 2) wearing your rings. It doesn't matter what level you guys are or where you are on the map in relation to each other.0
