Julianos vs Shacklebreaker

Which is easiest to acquire (recipe/s) and craft?

I've just hit level 50 on my first toon (Magicka Necro), and the guides (Alcast & Deltia) I am reading give two decent starter sets:

1. Law of Julianos x5, Light set, Divine traits, Magicka enchantments - all armour slots sans head and shoulders.
2. Shacklebreaker x5, Light set, Divine traits, Magicka enchants - all armour slots sans head and shoulders

I'm aiming for the 1st set (Julianos), but since it's my first 50, I'll go with whatever's easiest to craft of the two so I can get stuck into grinding/acquiring an optimal set.

Cheers and beers!

Both are ok for beginner, depending on your play style.

No recipe needed, you need just to have six traits researched and go to the crafting station to craft them yourself.

Shacklebreaker station is in Vvardenfell, Julianos in Wrothgar.

Once you're CP 160 you can give me a shout ingame, I can craft them for you, only need the mats :)
PC/EU&NA - Redguard Nightblade - Grand Master Crafter - Explorer of Tamriel & Skyrim - Playing Starfield (and awaiting TES VI ^^)

6 Traits for a 5 pieces of armor will about a Month to research. That is your level of difficulty in crafting this set.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

Mmm, did a bit of digging and saw that. I'll probably grab the mats and LFG a friendly crafter.

    Your information looks dated.

EDIT: If you are truly just level 50 and not CP160 yet, go for those two sets or anything that looks fun. Make gear in the Training trait or perhaps just wear whatever half decent thing you have now and just update your weapons. CP160 is the gear cap. Once you're at that level you can make gear for long term use. The following is my advice for CP160+:

Order's Wrath is the current go to crafted PvE DD set instead of Julianos. Order's Wrath is a meta set that is quite competitive up to the highest level. Julianos not so much. You might wear both, but ... eh.

Shacklebreaker was once a PvP set, but has long fallen off the radar. The only benefit I can see to your original combo is that it's permitted and would work in no CP Cyrodiil (Ravenwatch campaign).

If you're playing a two bar build and you want sustain, consider Order's Wrath front bar, Wretched Vitality back bar. This is for solo play and (depending on traits) may also work in CP PvP and BGs. This kind of set up leaves room for a monster set, a mythic item, and 1x other item (Trainee or Druid's), once you get those.

EDIT: That said, for pure damage in group play, and limiting to crafted sets, I probably would go for Order's Wrath + Julianos after all. I say group play, because that set choice tends to leave you squishy and with low sustain. Good groups heal you and provide sustain synergies. For solo play and to allow for uncoordinated pick up groups I like other options or at the very least a sustain mundus or different enchants. Not overland - that's so easy your gear doesn't matter - but harder solo content, such as world bosses.
