Leap Skills and Platforms Issue

I'm having an issue with target dummy's in my Coldharbour Surreal Estate (probably happens in all houses, but I haven't tested elsewhere). Specifically when I'm working on the dummy's and use a leap skill my character reappears inside the platform (instead of on it). I'd really prefer to keep the platforms for the aesthetics but this issue is ruining my target dummy practice.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, and more importantly has anyone found a way to prevent it without removing the platforms?
