Does changing "Home Campaign" remove one from Leaderboard of old campaign?

Question: If I change "Home Campaign" (instead of "Abandoning" campaign) will that remove me from Leaderboard of former campaign?

I wish to remove myself from the Leaderboard of one campaign, but I do not wish to pay 100k AP (which is cost to "Abandon" campaign).

    I tried an experiment.
    - I used a level-24 "mule" character who had previously selected the under-level-50 campaign as the "Home" campaign.
    - The character entered the under-level-50 campaign and earned a few thousand AP to get a Leaderboard rank of 50.
    - I then selected the No-CP campaign as the new "Home" campaign. There was no requirement to "abandon" the under-level-50 campaign first. There was no charge (in gold or AP) to change the "Home" campaign. However, there was a message that I could not change campaigns again for 12 hours, and there might be charge for future changes.
    - Since Leaderboard rank was below the top 10, I could not use another character or player to check what happened to my Leaderboard rank after I changed "Home" campaigns. Therefore, I had to wait 12 hours to return to the under-level-50 campaign (on the specific character) to see if changing "Home" campaign dropped me from the Leaderboard.
    - After a little more than 12 hours, I changed the "Home" campaign back to the under-level-50 campaign. There was no charge to do this (in gold or AP). When I checked the Leaderboard, my character's previously earned position on the Leaderboard was gone.

Conclusions: In the past, I "abandoned" a campaign (at the cost of 100k AP) to remove myself from the campaign's Leaderboard. But it seems that changing "Home" campaigns will also drop a character from the Leaderboard, without a charge in gold or AP. I will try to run this experiment again to verify this conclusion.

I am near certain that in order to rehome elsewhere you must abandon the campaign.

I would have thought that also. But I tried it on a "mule" character. I was able to change "Home" campaigns for free, without first "abandoning" the previous campaign.

as far as im aware you can only be on the leaderboard of your home campaign, so if you change your home campaign you forfeit your leaderboard spot on the old campaign
