Skill Revamp Ideas (Post them Here)

So ZoS seems like they want to revamp some skills, like they did with Jabs and Flurry. I don't think those revamps were good. Flurry reused animation, making for a skill that just looks like light/heavy attacking. It feels fine to use, and does fine damage, it's just not great since it reuses animation, and if ZoS wants to make new skills, they should be visual upgrades. Reusing animation isn't an upgrade. Jabs on the other hand reuses a 3D model, and is a visual downgrade both in design and in animation, as it ignores principles of animation, making the animation itself look slow and sloppy. This is the reason the skill feels terrible to use now, disregarding the damage. It's also a terrible skill now, as no templar even uses it anymore.

I wanted to start this thread to allow us to start brainstorming skills that could be upgraded. Every class has skills that could use an upgrade, either because the skill isn't used or because it's woefully underperforming. I'll start;

Puncturing Strikes (Revamp #2)
This skill works as it does right now in game. No changes, other than the animation. Just change the spear to its own unique model, and fix the animation timing with some slow-ins and slow-outs to make it a proper animation. Damage can remain the same before the morphs. It's the morphs that change.

Biting Jabs (Revamp #2)
The stam morph is reverted to its old animation, number of attacks, and damage. The speed of the skill can be changed to match the new standard if ZoS wants, but having the skill do one more attack with the morph makes sense, and it will allow players to use the old animation if they so wish.

Puncturing Sweeps (Revamp #2)
The Magicka morph would be different than any of the previous versions. Rather than it being a skill where you press the button with a channel time, it instead gains an infinite channel time. You hold the button down, and you will cast the skill until you let go of the button. It still heals based on damage, and it could have a ramping damage and cost with a cap based on how long you hold the button down. When you let go of the button, you do a final jab that does extra damage based on how long you held the skill down. It won't do the final jab unless you hold it down for a certain amount of time, say 1 or 2 seconds at least. A possible mechanic could incorporate light attack weaving, where you can weave in a light attack every second, and if you do it properly, it does a small increase in damage and refunds a bit of magicka, without interrupting the skill (as in, your character doesn't actually light attack. Just going through the motions of weaving gives a small buff and resource return).
