More interesting and pointy shoes?

I have a slight nitpick, just a little irk.
It's no big deal really, and I love all the styles that have come out. Really Zos has been doing an excellent job, but:

Some recent styles and fashions in relation to footwear to come to ESO have become round and boring.
Fat round toes on every shoe, boot and sandal.

• Where are all the pointy weird, uncomfortable, strange and silly shoes?!
• Does anyone else lament at the lack of recent foot fashion fulfilling the fantasy of their respective motifs?
• Are there any motifs you wish were a little different, regardless of armour slot?

Some shoe shapes and types have become a little more limited.
As a fantasy game, ergonomics doesn't seem to be the issue accounting for the vast amount of leather being used, or bralette armour.

Recent Style Examples:

• Ascendant Order
• Scribes of Mora
• House Mornard
• Balfieran Sentinel
• Dreadsail
• Blessed Inheritor

Compare Balfieran Sentinel with Divine Prosecution.
I don't care if my Altmer is comfortable on her long journeys, it might have been better if it were pointy or more elegant?

Evil or questionable groups and faction shoes? How is round boring leather scary or esoteric? (Scribes of Mora. No pointy?)

A lot of those fashions were to display that the wearer was wealthy, and therefore had servants to do all the work for which they were unsuited. Since the player character is actually expected to do things for themself, they would not be wearing the impractical styles.

Apparently, since this is an mmo set in a magical world, such arguments count for nothing.

Good idea for different styles of shoes I’m sure Zos design teams could come up with some great visuals on shoes and foot wear as it stands there haven’t been much attention to the visuals on the feet.

Boots with wings 🪽 on the side would be my idea.

Some of the redguard, khajiit, and orcish style shoes got delightfully pointy angled up toes. Icereach Coven got a three toe thing going on. Welkynar and Meridia is getting some talon action. So clearly they can do more things than just round.

Square or long pointy shoes must be fashionable somewhere.

On the contrary, it's been a relief to me that we've had more regular looking footwear as of late. While I like the pointed look of some of the Elsweyr release styles, I'm quite glad to have boots with rounded toes, simply because I can go for certain looks on my characters with them.

I wouldn't mind seeing some festive style pages with shoes like these however. They could be fun. Especially if matched with clothing styles inspired by the kinds of outfits that would have been worn with such shoes.

I particularly like the leather ones in the second post.

Sunspire light shoes look rather silly iirc. Not in game at the moment to check

I'd say a lot of their designs looking really same-ish, especially recently. There's a ton of different shoe and gloves while they're mostly requesting artists for the same thing again and again. Maybe it's just uninspired artists that they're commissioning but still a lot of it screams "low effort". Gladly not all of it.
