might as well call it midyear mayhem and have it for the entire month of june at this point

so practically a 1or2 week break between both pvp events? so the 2 times a year pvp get events are now squished into a 6 week time frame because of poor performance issues.... nice LOL

Will we get 4 events in a quarter at some point to make up for only 2 events in Q1? It feels like we will constantly be playing catchup at the Impresario. We are using Jester tickets to buy stuff we normally would have bought during 2nd event of year. And we'll be using Anniversary event tickets to buy stuff we normally would have bought during Jester. And so on. If there will only be 11 events this year instead of 12, you should consider giving double tickets in one event, or reducing price of fragments slightly at Impresario.

Eh, there is a big difference for an event immediately following a dungeon DLC event and an event immediately following a Chapter release. Highly doubtful they would drop mayhem the same week they drop the chapter. And the June 29th date means mayhem will be active across a US holiday, which is a fairly common thing they do for events (unfortunately).

There are only 11 events, as usual. Jubilee is a double event, there's usually nothing in May. So after Mayhem we're back on track. We just got the break in Q1 instead of Q2 this year.

"Each time you take a bite of this celebratory confection during the event, you’ll receive a 2-hour 100% XP boost as well as three Event Tickets!"

Isn't that rather misleading? Surely you only get 3 Event Tickets per day, not every time you consume the cake (which you're going to want to do at least every 2 hours in order to maintain the XP boost)?

So, who else is going to avoid IC and do some IC quests beforehand PvP event starts ?

I mean, I like ESO PvP in Cyrodill, but IC is just way to cramped & tight. The only viable play-styles is either ball group zerging or group ganking - which is something I don't like about IC

Me! I plan to do enough IC dailies before the event starts to cover me turning in one per day without having to set foot in IC during the event.

It wasn’t originally bi-annual. It was only a summer event and was called “Midyear Mayhem”, because it happened at Tamrielic Midyear. It got cancelled multiple times due to pvp performance issues and was held a few times in January, leading us to mock them for not being able to reliably hold a Midyear event.

So they renamed it, and sometimes have it only in January, and sometimes twice a year, and this year back to its roots being only a Summer event.

If anyone needed more proof that Zeni needs to dedicate more resources to pvp, this year is not the first, or second, or third time the Mayhem event got pushed back due to performance.

I can't wait for these events to take place with the new server in place. This might be the time for players to get a few more PvP guilds started in all factions.

I wouldn't do that. There are still plenty of game breaking bugs in the game, and nobody knows how the performance will be. Even with new hardware and way too low population caps. We don't know if/when the code rewrite is going to give us better performance, but it's most likely not going to happen any time soon. PvP has been neglected and forgotten for years, so it's not in a good state at the moment. And we all know how many problems a new DLC can cause. Just a small maintenance in the middle of the last PvP event (July/August 2022) broke Gray Host for 6 months, on Playstation EU, so who knows what's going to happen this year...

With everything going on at the moment it's very risky to take time off work, just for the event. Miracles can happen, but i wouldn't count on it.

I play on PCNA and tbh performance hasn’t been a problem (at least for me) since the server upgrade except one night when I was ballgrouping and was fighting 3 other ballgroups in the keep and even then it was very manageable but that’s just my experience.

They almost never release the timing of events until the week before. So, with a mid-May estimate, we will either get a date announced tomorrow or next Thursday.
