no more custom forum pic

Eh, I guess they thought people abused it - although I didn't notice anyone abusing it during the beta.

That's too bad, mine was a great pic. Tiny little 18,5kb crop of a Don Maitz print. Ima miss the little guy

On another more serious note ..it seems the ability to choose a new avatar is broken.

I miss my "default" Skyrim Khajiit pic for fourms Wish ZOS did not remove that ability to add player's own pic.

Aww, that's no fun. I can understand why they did it, but ya know what? I think if we post for a while and show we're good little bears that they should give us the right to have a custom one again! At least that way it should filter out some of the silly heads that put up the obscene ones.

I have 5 stars, I can't upload a proper profile pic.
Unless they added a 6th star and nobody has noticed yet, it's nothin to do with forum ranks.

If you mean that only people with higher forum ranks get a saved pic, then I doubt it. It's almost certainly a bug if your pic needs to be added each time you log on - it wouldn't make sense to only allow higher ranked forumers to save their pic.

Yeah, me too; it gets annoying/confusing.
ZOS said they're still working/adding to the forums, so hopefully we'll see an update in the future.

Or they can just make sure nobody but me is a neon betty netch, I'd be happy if they did that too :P

I was able to choose a pick out of the list.
I've seen many people using similar pictures, I've even seen a lower ranked betty netch, so I'm pretty certain it's not to do with ranks.
Even 1 stars have been able to choose their pic from the list.

I can understand that. I didn't mean to say adding own avatars is bad. I hope they will add this option for everyone who wants an own picture.

Abuse would be my guess. Or prevention of it, as you've more people and a lot more activity than before. That much more effort to moderate.

They also removed custom signatures as well. While for the most part the avatars were not a big deal, some of the signatures were WAY out of hand in terms of physical size, a post of one sentence wound up taking up half the screen because of a monstrous signature.

I do miss my monkey avatar, but at least I still have him in game.

Maybe its better that there is only pre-made avatars than upload own, for example bugfield4 tag "art" makes understandable to not have custom image chance.
