Is it possible that download speed is capped on server-side? My internet connection should allow much much higher download rates than the pittyful 44 Mb/sec I get...

(I run ESO on steam from which I start the ESO launcher that is currently updating)

Not running steam but also quite slow, 77Mb/sec. Been getting that on recent patches, no idea what it is.

Your lucky mine shows 0.0 KB/s and is so slow I can only determine movement by placing mouse pointer on the line see the line grow a millimeter check after about 10 minutes.

Yes, very slow plan on a long download. I have 1200 Mbps speed getting 120. Did they patch everything in the game? lol

For me it was 1MB/s before I changed the max download speed limit from 1MB/s to "unlimited" in launcher options. Now it hovers in 1 to 2MB/s range. (Which is likely in my end.)
Of course I already did before patch the daily stuff I was going to do.

Making the following change in the ESO launcher can sometimes improve download speeds.
    • Start the ESO launcher.
    • Click the gear icon in the top right corner of the launcher.
    • This will bring you to the Launcher Settings menu.
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the window and change the Maximum Download setting to 5mbps or 10mbps.

Adding an exception to the Windows Firewall and flushing the DNS can also help improve download speed.
