When will necro stop being terrible in PvP?

Necro currently is terrible even with the grave robber synergy, it is very far behind any other class in almost any form of PvP content. It may be semi-decent as a bomber but that's a niche playstyle that cannot be considered actual combat.

relying on a 20k+ damage synergy enhanced by jewelry traits usable only every 20 seconds isn't niche, it's stupid. It's poor class design. It's something that slipped through the cracks.

Necro do need a reliable rotation that doesn't rely on weapon/guild skills or synergies that can delete people off the field without them having time to react. Hopefully the devs take a closer look at where they failed with this class, starting at the slower-than-mollasses projectile speed on the class spammable, rounding the avoidable/killable nuke, revisiting the lack of a unique buff, and exploring why there's no gap closer, speed enhancing skills, or class-source of major brutality/sorcery.

there are still many people who think necros have to be nerf.

If they think necros are good, then they should make a necro and go pvp
They'll se only 20ish players are good and 99% of necros are weak, because the class isnt easy.

It's far to be easy but when you manage necros you can rule the world.
This is the state of this class.

Necromancer imo is a class that suffers from an identity crisis. So many abilities need to be reworked at the minimum just to allow it to remain relevant especially with the "nerf" to Harmony going into this new patch.

They're tanky. Cool. What else? Their blastbones on top of evasion makes jabs do like no damage, their burst heal is alright, and their purge is kinda cool. Everything else? Figure it out. What's the incentive right now for using the stamblast bones over the mag one? Give it major AND minor defile at the minimum. A source of brutality/sorcery or a source of major savagery/prophecy would atleast help the class feel like it's falling behind.

It's a class that's paid for. How did Wardens catch so many PHAT buffs and necro got the back hand of a PHAT neglectful stick?

They started from a place where ZOS just thought the theme and look of the skills was cool and that was more important than being functional, especially in PvP.
So now we've got slow skulls, confused skeletons and some weird T-Rex arms scythe.

I think it's a combination of this and Necro not being fun to play. When played well they are actually fairly good offensively but even then it's just not fun to play. No class identity just a tanky dmg combo generator.

Though to be honest I did have a lot of fun with a ranged macro build and would try that again if I was actively playing at the moment.

wardens in general are still kind of near the bottom of the totem pole too, they have only somewhat become relevant in pvp again but still far from the top (they like the necromancer, is also very tanky, but can also have issues with dmg unless built very specifically)

I think the entire class was designed around a parsing dummy.

That said whatever design coherence the class had has been gutted by kneejerk nerfs. For example, the class had no execute, so they gave it a passive with high crit rate under 25% health. Nerfed.

It didn't have high dps but brought a unique debuff to the group. Nerfed and then the debuff got put on sets.

    Good healing...nerfed.

Dots nerfed in general, and the two class dots, nerfed in addition.

To be fair the healing from Intensive Mender was some of the strongest healing over time the game's ever seen and needed a nerf.

The fact that Spirit Guardian got gutted along with it is the real tragedy

They'll probably get buffed to the point where you can actually play them in about a year from now, same as Templar. We gave the team several pages of feedback concerning how Templar and Necromancer have no damage in PvP and they "had no changes planned at this time."

I'm so bored + done with the current meta where Cyrodiil is 50% DK's and 25% Wardens with everyone wearing Mara's Balm. I'm playing other games for the most part until Necrom releases. ZOS really needs to do more frequent balance patches.
