Cyrodiil has become (even more) unplayable

I've hit assassin's Will, then been stunned, double break free out of it, then get a killing blow with Assassin's Will.

Now that I mention it, I also saw a chunk of my health drop and THEN hear someone's bow proc and combat metrics say I got hit by AW and that be the last damage I see.

It's borderline about as bad with desync right now as that first update in 2020.

Oh the desyncing is horrible right now. The number of people spamming Javelin just because they know you'll desync is absolutely gamebreaking

Yep! Mages wrath is an absolute nightmare with desyncing. Cast it multiple times when people are on low health/nearly dead and it will proc seconds later when they’ve already healed up to full health. Same in reverse where skills like frags won’t cast when super charged and instead will cast seconds later and do a hard frag. It’s appalling. The state of pvp, especially in the last months, is literally killing off what’s left of the PvP community.

Seems like a wrong position calculation for me, had the same a few times. You run around but all skills are grey after a few seconds the skills are normal or you are dead.

PC EU Gray Host seems to get worse every week. There doesn't seem to be anywhere in cyro where there isn't lag. Break free doesn't work anymore. instacast abilities don't seem to work. I have even seen where dodge rolling doesn't work. It honestly feels like you are just spinning a wheel to see who gets to kill the other person most of the time. Sometimes my target just insta dies and their body appears 20 meters away and other times I am on the receiving end. The state of pvp is in an embarrassingly bad state.

That’s quite funny, I actually have a lot of fun fighting you as it’s a challenge (pvp should be) and over the years I’ve noticed improvements in my own play style when squaring off against you. That’s what I love about PvP. And also, as someone else who mains a PvP Sorc, it’s good to have others who can speak to exactly why changes need to be made and can communicate that to developers.

The thing is, whilst I understand zenimax uses spreadsheets to conduct research on balance. They need to have a broader array of understanding in terms of physical practicality in all situations. PvP balance is alot more important than PvE balance. PvE mobs can be altered to suit the changes, dungeons, trials are fixed mechanics which can be practiced to an extremely high degree of accuracy. It's also not a competitive environment. PvP the opposite and thus should be the 1st considered when balancing. However, I'd much prefer the separation of the two. Zenimax should directly speak to the players who play at an extremely high level in PvP, this would help them solve a magnitude of issues and save them time. However although our input would be better for the game, we do not work there (I'd like too) thus rendering our input surplus to requiments.

Edit: Balance means very little as of now when the games performance is truly awful. I can overcome bad balance, I cannot overcome bad performance

I respect your play & I’m not so infantile to claim hating anyone simply for the fact of being on an opposing side in a game 😂. But speaking in the kindest manner, you are indeed very annoying to fight…which is as it should be really, you don’t make it easy! The alternative being boring builds who run around spamming jabs incessantly on you 😑😒.

Every salty pvp’er claims hacking, cheating, lag switching, zerging etc when it doesn’t go their way. It’s almost become quintessential at this point! That & the ‘fan’ mail 😂

When the sorc gets buffed again then i will come back with the sorc The fights was always funny yh streaking away and shield stacking is annoying but tbf you dont have any other defensive on the sorc.

But i enjoy it more to fight adam then the corrosive poppin DK who chilling on the BB when they dont have the coorosive up.

At the moment we all have the same goal chilling at sej and farm EP xD

PS5 NA & totally agree it's completely unplayable in Cyrodiil. Main reason I play is for Cyro, haven't paid ESO plus in about a year and don't intend to ever pay for it again unless they make Cyro playable. I think everyone should vote with their wallet and do the same. I know they make it a pain to deal with inventory space without ESO + but IMO it's worth the hassle to make a point. I'll frequently take months long breaks out of frustration and am always simply blown right away at the utter unplayability of Cyro when I come back. It somehow seems to just get worse every time - came back a few weeks ago and found that Grey Host is literally a Windows 96 Microsoft Powerpoint slideshow where my skill bar randomly turns grey/black and any skill I try to use just causes my character to seizure. Can't get a single buff off let alone attempt a combo. What's the point? [snip]

I’ve got an orc sorc (don’t ask…) levelled up that I’ve never really properly used in any content. Might re-purpose it as a pvp sorc for when the changes come in.

I’m moving away from necro as they’re effectively killing it (not just as a bomber build) in pvp, which is a shame especially given it’s a buyable class locked behind a pay wall. Feel like they owe me a refund at this point it’s becoming so utterly useless in the content I play.

There’s a new lag bug too. You get knocked into the air and it suspends you there, but you don’t realise it as it’s not visible on your screen, only to others. You’re running around unable to do anything, but to everyone else you’re hovering there like it’s the rapture and you’re on your way to meet JC to chill.

Happened to me a lot lately.

pvp is horrendous right now, i just cant survive!! if i get leaped i get bugged out and no skills work, if i have more than 1 person on me the performance goes down hill. why on earth does performance suffer with each update and each time there is major skill changes @ZOS_Kevin pvp needs some serious love and fast its getting ridiculous!

i managed to finally use skills but it was too late, way too many people spamming things before i could heal myself lol, i have no idea what made the combat change so much but 3 days ago (not a maras enjoyer) i could kite, heal and break free perfectly (kinda) fine

There is a lot going on that can contribute. It's hard to pinpoint just one thing but there definitely is a 100 to 0 thing happening. Don't think its health desync, but that's happened before on updates and would line up with the other laginess.

something just feels off overall and i cant put my finger on it. ive been playing solo for years so its not a l2p issue imo, its just weird

We all got together once and obliterated the Kings legion zerg. Was spectacular 🤣. We got called the Avengers, however we defeated Thanos (Blue zerg) 🤣. Much respect to the Legion though, they are extremely hard to take down in comparison to AD or EP. Whilst all these players don't like fighting me and the hate I get is unparalleled, I respect all my fellow eso players 🔥

Yeah he’s decent. I’ve been able to get him low on my cro, but he always manages to evade and heal back up. Don’t appreciate him jabbing me to death in the back whilst I’m fighting multiple Ep though 😂😉

Have there been anymore updates, timelines, communication on this from ZOS? It’s getting worse by the day, truly. I’ve moved on to other games mostly due to performance and only dip in now here and there - I’d like to play more often but if it’s a choice of playing a decent well maintained game and ESO only for pvp which isn’t functional, well…

Currently trying to play in EU Xbox and have crashed 6 times in 20 minutes. In a group with people who don't have any skills working, multiple crashes, terrible FPS.

The state of the game is actually an embarrassment.

NB. I ended up crashing about 12 times throughout the night, lol.
