[REQUEST] Unranked matches: Remove Time Penalty on Conceding a Ranked Match and vice-versa

I think it should be obvious that conceding a ranked game should NOT imply a penalty for queuing for an unranked match and vice-versa. So I suggest to remove it.

I agree, it seems entirely arbitrary. I lost, I know I did, I conceded, you don't have to punish me even further, I'll just log to an alt character and keep playing *shrug*.

Yep. Another dumb thing on ranked matches. That and the constant match with the same player over and over again. It's all so badly designed for a ranked system.

I'm okay with no timer on unranked, but ranked definitely needs it. So many little farmers looking for easy wins will just spam concede and re-queue.

That's a bit outdated. A concede no longer gives you a box at all.

So actually a concede time penalty should be removed from ranked matches as it is a triple penalty for the conceding party while conceding as ZERO negative impact on the winning party.

    Triple penalty on conceding:
    - significant point loss!
    - No reward box
    - a superfluous time penalty.

On unranked: These are for fun only so a concession is a fun deprival for the non-conceding party. So ok with timer. But for ranked matches it is a triple penalty that should be removed.

PS: I've updated my position slightly with respect to the original post on this thread.

Hadn't noticed conceded matches gives you no coffer. But honestly, removing the timer on ranked matches is still problematic. I don't personally want to q, get a player who doesn't like their crow not going their way, concede and next match is a rinse and repeat of the same person. Its already bad enough that people can character hop, and I've had to deal with this tactic from several players. It creates an environment where its no longer fun, I don't care so much about the rewards. I care about having fun. I don't mind being conceded on, but when its this type of tactic its annoying.

Ranked matches are for competition where it is about winning.

I agree a concede on an UNranked match should be penalized. But not on ranked matches. If you just play for the fun of a match and even less for the rewards you can go for unranked matches. Just modify the drop down list in the ToT match finder screen.

BTW: I also think a time penalty for an early concede in a ranked match is not appropriate considering the snowball nature of this card game and that early picks are often decisive. To punish concedes in a ranked match really does not make any sense. Irrespective of the phase of the concede. Considering how the game is conceived.

How about this, you get two concedes and the third one you get a penalty.
