Sustained by suffering on vampires?

Does the health drain from Simmering Frenzy count as a negative effect and fire up Sustained By Suffering? If not, are there any skills for vampire or nightblade that feed this star? (eg.- Malevolent Offering)

I would like to know the answer to this too. And likewise for Minor Defile from the necro Render Flesh skill.

im pretty sure the defile from the necromancer skill does count for sustained by suffering as that is a direct negative effect

malevolent offering i believe is counted as a negative effect because it applies an actual negative effect in the form of a self DoT when you cast the skill

i honestly havent used simmering frenzy since the vampire revamp, but if i had to guess, it does not, because it is not actually applying a negative effect to you to drain your hp, that is the "cost" of the skill, so in effect no negative effect is actually applied (unlike the examples of malevolent offering, or the necromancer render flesh)

It doesn't. You can easily test this on the character menu with Simmering Frenzy on.
