No NPC subtitles in text chat

Basically title. I wanted a text chat with just NPC dialogue but none is coming up even with the NPC option ticked? Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks

I’m not sure which type of conversation you’re wanting subtitles for, but the NPC subtitles for chat only show their random lines when you pass by them, like, “Dragons in our homeland!” And “Do you know how long I’ve been looking for you?”

Not any subtitles for chatter you may get for clicking on an NPC or opening a dialogue with them.

Have you tried setting the NPC Subtitles to OFF followed by setting them back ON again?

I’ve had to do that with the autoloot setting before. It might work!
